What does that look like? You have to give him credit for having some brass for incorporating his symbol into an American flag type of look.
You can own one to for $35 at the Obama store.
How long after he wins re-election until these are flying over our public schools and post office's?

You mean he might allow his flag to fly over the Mexican flag?

I'm thinking about ponying up the $35 and using it to start my charcoal grill. Maybe a YouTube moment awaits.IggyPride00;1275913 wrote:![]()

Hey, here's another "Oops" moment, courtesy off those "fair and balanced" Fox News folks...

I'd say they're "fairly unbalanced" over there. So eager to paint Obama in a bad light they don't bother to check the facts. Kinda like a lot of you righties here, wouldn't you say?

Did you read the article? They're going hungry because they're addicted to junk and not eating the healthier meals provided them.stlouiedipalma;1280278 wrote:Translated, that means "let them eat cake".

Only true on the young kids, the article also talked about HS kids, specifically HS athletes, whose activities meant that the 800 or less calorie lunch was not sufficient even if they ate everything.gut;1280293 wrote:Did you read the article? Trust me, being someone that played 3 sports in HS and lifted weights plus ran every night, I know. I used to eat 4-5 full meals everyday at that time.

Those were the good 'ol days - eat whatever you want and you never put on any weight but muscle.jmog;1280319 wrote: Trust me, being someone that played 3 sports in HS and lifted weights plus ran every night, I know. I used to eat 4-5 full meals everyday at that time.
Still begs the question - what is the goal and where do you draw the line? We're now talking about going way beyond offering basic nutrition. You were eating 4-5 meals, so 800 calories for lunch is sufficient. There's really nothing to prevent them from supplementing their diet. It doesn't make sense to provide larger meals, and the waste to go with it, for the 80%+ of the student body not playing football.

Why should schools be in the food business (especially the federally forced food business); just another distraction from the core mission of educating.

Just had a healthcare update at my company today. We are offered mostly HSA's of various levels. They're really screwing over families increasing their rates on average $90 per month. Mine went up only $11 so I can't complain. But our health care costs are by income bracket. The new pricing scheme is coming close to 10% of the adjusted gross income of the lower level in each income bracket. We were told at 10% AGI starting in 2014 you will be entered into the affordable healthcare exchange.
I'm glad if my company is increasing their costs that my co-workers will be able to get affordable care but disgusted at the same time that the corporation is doing this because I'm sure we won't be the only ones. We're a Fortune 500 so I'm sure most others are looking into similar changes which is probably going to throw off all the estimates of how much the Affordable Care Act is really going to cost each of us.

Since the day that Obamacare passed, my portion of my health insurance has gone up from $100/month to just a tad under $500/month. That is for family coverage.
It is a good thing that Obamacare is making health insurance more affordable for the middle class huh?

We need to trim down dramatically the things offered in public schools so that the core is even more focused on with the resources provided.
