That wasn't public knowledge in 2008.

Birtherism aside, if Barack Obama were a conservative/Republican, we would know the mother's maiden names of every doctor, nurse, and janitor at his hospital of birth, along with the color of paint on the walls, along with the relative humidity in the room on his day of birth, thanks to the efforts of the mainstream media.

It's a shame that the MSM didn't do a better job of vetting their Appointed One a few years ago. While it may not work this time either, we are at least beginning to see that the MSM should have reported and investigated 4 years ago.

Still looking for that birth certificate are we? Obama could have been a serial rapist and the American public still would not have re-elected the neo con clan. After 8 years...enough was enough.

So they elected a neo lib clan to replace them.
Daniel Shapiro, Washington's ambassador to Israel, warned the Iranian regime that only "a brief window" now existed to settle the impasse over its nuclear programm through democracy. Issuing one of the most candid assessments yet made by a senior American official, he assured Israel that, if diplomacy failed, the United States was fully prepared to resort to military force to end the threat the Jewish state says it faces from a nuclear-armed Iran.

Yeah the past 3 years have been a cakewalk. America deserves what it gets. If we vote an incompetent in again, we deserve whatever pain happens - I'm not sure the country will survive my lifetime without a major monetary/economic overhaul if not a geopolitical division with 4 more years of the same. We cannot have another 4 years of record deficits and no results. We made a monster mistake in '08. Even if people are sick of "neo cons" it doesn't justify electing someone that had no experience.

Not a birth certificate....just some truth. Eventually the truth will come out on this sham of a president.

When a neo libs behave like a neo cons it's generally over-looked because neo libs are looking out for us while the neo cons are nothing more than blood thirsty chickenhawk war mongers.

Get it right. ;)

Really?? It looks like a Romney landslide?? Have you seen this yet:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/2012_elections_electoral_college_map.html

3 states are all that are going to matter in this election:
Virginia
Florida
Ohio

Simply put..Romney has to win all three win...President Obama doesn't!

Romney is in a much worse place than the President in terms of the EC. The President could win Ohio and Colorado, lose every other toss up and still win re-election.

Yep, polling registered voters is pure laziness and proves absolutely nothing.

Here's another poll of 6,000 likely voters - http://thehill.com/opinion/columnists/dick-morris and this specifically - http://thehill.com/opinion/columnists/dick-morris/226221-a-romney-landslide

The take-home:
If the election were held today, Obama would lose by at least 10 points and would carry only about a dozen states with fewer than 150 electoral votes.
Before you start slaying the messenger, remember Morris got Clinton elected twice, so he's been there and done that. He's a bit of an expert, one could say.

Morris is a hack and has no cred. He has been a waste of space the last 10 years.

The west is what this race will come down to. Colorado, and Nevada.
Obama could lose Ohio and still win.

I do think the President takes VA. Northern VA. will carry the state.

I can see this being close, or a landslide for the President. Still early though.

Landslide? Are you serious? If Obama wins by a landslide we deserve to go over the cliff. Fool me once, fool me twice.

I can see Barry winning but not by a landslide....not even close.

Well, I see that more than Romney in a landslide.

I don't see an Obama landslide really, but it is not outside the realm of possibility depending on Romney's VP pick, the economy, and debates.

I'll also admit, it is still very early, so predictions are still taken with a huge grain of salt. My views thus far are just taken from what Romney has said and done thus far. If he can put his stuff together, I think he can really challenge.

If Obama wins in a landslide it will change the definition of landslide. For Christ's sake even the NYT poll has him behind. What states that McCain win in '08 does anyone think might go Obama? What states that went for Obama might go to Romney?

NC, definitely. VA, likely unless all the useless bureaucrats in Fairfax, Alexandria, Arlington and Loudon vote twice. OH. Heck, the rest of the midwest is in play.

Obama landslide? I can't believe I read that.

Neither could I.

Even if the economy does a 180 degree turn today and real unemployment (by some estimates as high as 22%) drops to 10%, Obama is still in deep trouble.

Hell, our company just announced they're closing our plant in Topeka, Kansas. With our plant closing in Pennsylvania that occurred this time last year, over 700 people have lost good paying jobs. I'm not saying the plant closings are Obama's fault. I'm simply saying the economy is hardly in "recovery" although the MSM is desperately trying to get us to believe that.

People vote with their wallets. I know very few people who can honestly claim that they feel warm & fuzzy about their current economic status.

As you pointed out, the states that went to McCain will go to Romney and enough bubble states that leaned Obama the last time could quite easily (likely?) go with Romney this time.

No way Obama wins in a landslide...which is why he's appealing to his base (gay vote, etc.) and lecturing the Europeans about their fiscal policies.

I can tell you how the climate is in Virginia after being there for two weeks - granted, Obama still has a strong following in NoVa particularly with the federal government dependent crowd, and Obama should do well in the inner cities of Richmond and Hampton Roads. Other than that his winning the Commonwealth in '08 will be seen as a complete aberration. South of Fredericksburg the Commonwealth has been a GOP stronghold other than the solid African-American districts. Since '08 the Richmond area has lost about 45,000 jobs, and Hampton Roads has had zero wage growth and depends on the military for much of its economy.

I don't see the turnout in '12 that we saw in '08 from the "Obama" districts, I do see Henrico and Chesterfield Counties (both GOP heavy) turning out in huge numbers given how the Obamaconomy has hit them directly.

Given how soundly McDonnel destroyed Deeds in the Gubernatorial race, I can't imagine anyone thinking Obama has VA in the basket. He's despised in most of the Commonwealth, for good reason. The economy sucks, even in one of the richest states in the country.

By this...you believe that McCain would have done some things differently? Care to elaborate? I guess McCain would have waved his magic wand and the housing collapse would have magically disappeared, eh?

The only thing McCain would have done differently would have entailed more wars at the taxpayer expense. That's pretty much it.

Your post is typical of the GOPers. This is why I'm rooting hard for the Romney upset. And then I get to watch you people continually apologizing for the economic failures.

A lot of people do vote with their wallets, and as such, the election should be very close. However, the people are very skeptical of financial gurus in running the country as well. The Democrat Committee will be exposing Romney for a being a tax evader....with all that money hidden in the Cayman Islands.

Also, the independents decide all elections..not the core libs or cons. And the independents remember that Bush and his policies were in place when the economy collapsed...not Obama.

A Senator for at least a term, with military experience.

Obama is the least experience POTUS in our lifetimes.

Next question?

The best thing for Obama's legacy would be to not get re-elected. That way he can still take credit for any future success (whether he had anything to do with it or not), and blame his successor (or continue to blame Bush) if things don't get better. Not to mention he can move-on from the distraction of POTUS to being a full-time celebrity.
