hwy did they waste so much time prior to taking the timeout....must have wasted 10-15 seconds....that ended up costing them the game....

Why did Miles call those pass plays once he was in FG range? That was his first mistake.

Why did he let the clock get all the way down to .09 before he called a timeout?

Why did Verne Lundquist and the other guy think that LSU could have got the FG team on the field after the long pass play? There was one freaking second. You just have to run up to the line and snap it. You don't have time to let the FG team run onto the field and get lined up

What I really want to know is what was going through the QB's head??? Did he really think he could ground it with 1 second on the play clock?

Yeah, why not at the very least try a throw to the endzone? Miles said he couldn't get the kicker on in time, well, hell, why not try a shot at the endzone?
