How can you even get upset about people making jokes? It's a woman beater honoring a child molester. That's what most people are going to see.

While that was quite good, I still dont and will never understand crying over a celebrity death. Now for him maybe it was more personal because he obviously looked up to Jackson because of his commitment to dancing. But seriously, do not get it.

That just proved for Sleeper that Chris Brown isn't even close to Micheal Jackson in dancing.

I wouldn't get upset at all, I just figured it was coming.

I don't think CB was (solely) crying over Jackson...morel like crying because he got his career back in after that performance. His recent album tanked, and he bitched about it on twitter. He was irrelevant with all these new male pop stars taking his place (Trey Songz, Jason Derulo, Jay Sean, hell even Drake). That kid was BEGGING to be back in the spotlight...those, IMO, were redemption tears.

...with that said, it's still hard to get past the fact that he beat up his GF....I hope he manages to turn his career around.

That's a nice thought, but those were tears over Michael's death and nothing more. If Michael was just a role model that's a bit much, but if he knew Michael personally then I can understand it.

I had a friend who mentioned this morning that it seems odd that everyone seems to have forgiven T.I., yet still hate on Chris Brown and Kanye. T.I. went to prison for having an arsenal of guns, and he gets a pass, whereas Chris Brown beat his girlfriend once and Kanye got a little too drunk and made a fool of himself and nobody seems to forgive them.

All that being said, I thought it was a nice tribute. The Smooth Criminal section was pretty cool. Chris Brown isn't close to being the dancer that Michael was. Dancing for Michael was like breathing for the rest of us, it was just so natural for him. His movements we so smooth and precise. I don't think we'll ever see someone as naturally talented or as creative as Michael was as a dancer.

Gun Charges or beating the hell out of your gf,neither is something to be proud of. But if i were to be labeled as a woman beater, or a felon bc of gun charges... Id take gun charges in a second.

And people hate Kanye because it wasnt just that one incident. its the same guy who threw a fit when he didnt win any awards at an award show(i forget which one,) and then that whole bush hates black people thing

You have to look at the entire CB/Rihanna situation. CB won an award at the end of the show...I think a "fans choice" or something like that. He came out, somber, and very humble. Thanking the fans for still believing and stuff, then he said something like "I let you down, but I promise I'll never do it again..." blah blah blah. Michael definitely was an influence, but there's no way he's just crying over Michael's death. It seemed like the whole awards show was about comebacks! Both TI and Kanye made their first award show performances since their respective incidents, El DeBarge made a return as well.

Yeah I think his tears probably had something to do with the song he was singing. If you listen to the lyrics it seems fitting for his situation. Was he crying about MJ? Probably. But I think there was more going on that just that.

Agree. I would rather be known for gun charges over beating a woman anyday. It's a sad day when people forgive a woman beater because he can sing and dance.
