The funny thing is....some ND haters are happy. But, they shouldn't be. Weis getting the boot will be one of the best things to happen at ND in a while if the guy that is rumored to be coming in is actually coming in.

As an ND fan.....I'm happy to see Weis go. And rest assured, folks.....Weis is GONE.

It's already been put out there on ND threads regarding the topic. Go back and take a look.

A new coach could be enough. If it's the guy that it's rumored to be....I think ND will become a national factor immediately.

Now Weis has a worse winning percentage than Tyrone Willingham. If Ty got the boot, then Charlie certainly have to go!

I won't believe it until it happens. Last time The Irish had a opening, just about everyone had Urban Meyer as the guy taking over. We all know what happen with that.

So ND is going to pick up a coach that has lost how many BCS bowl games in a row and never gets the heat that Tressel does?

It's Bob Stoops, right? I don't at all understand why he would leave Oklahoma for Notre Dame. I can't think of one good reason to do it. Oklahoma trumps Notre Dame in every category except tradition where they are about the same.

Weis was so cocky during his press conference when he got hired. ND should have known then that they hired the wrong guy. Who was the guy who gave him the big extension halfway thru his 1st season anyway?
