A quick rundown for those that may not know what this forum or the vCash amount under you username is all about.
What is vBookie?
vBookie is a software program that allows posters to wager their accumulated vCash on various sporting events that are designated by myself, the moderators or the "vBookies" (Ironman92 and karen lotz). There will be actual 'betting odds' just as you might find in Las Vegas Sports Books.
What is vCash?
vCash is "virtual cash" given to each member as a bank roll. Everybody starts with 500 vCash. vCash has no monetary value but in the future will be used for contests.
What happens if I run out of vCash?
If you run out of vCash you will not be able to make any more bets until the contest period is over, a winner is declared, and everyone is given 500 vCash again.

When does the cash reset? Meaning if someone loses it all, when do they get more?
Also, will you be breaking fingers for not paying up, or going straight to legs?

is there a way to keep track of how much we won on certain bets etc? like maybe in our profile it can say we won x amount of vcash on the reds/indians game.

I am seriously challenged by anything different and I'd like to take a shot at this but really don't understand the procedure. Can someone give me a crash course? Do you bet in a regular thread or am I missing something here? I see all these people who have bet and so forth but I just can't seem to catch on. Sorry. I am a computer doofus.

Once a bet is created the odds will not change. Unless Ironman screws up and I have to disallow a bet.

Only threads in this forum will have bets and all threads in this forum (other than this one) will have bets.
Just open a thread in here and you will see a grid at the top outlining the betting lines. Use the box in the right column of the grid to enter the amount of your bet on the line you want to bet on and click the place bet button. That's pretty much it. If you win the money will be automatically added back to your vCash total.

I'm not trying to speak on Justin's behalf, but that would probably be a bad idea.
Even though it's fake money, it looks bad from the outside looking in if people are "betting" on HS games. I would think it would stick to things that are actually bet on legally in Vegas (college and pros)

Yeah I would never bet a HS game. To me, and this is just my opinion, it is unethical. Especially since my son plays HS football.

Yeah, I didn't mention it early but there will never be vBookie bets on high school games. No way.
Pick 'em contests are still cool, but no "gambling" on them.

Need some more bets outside of Cincinnati games. Definitely Cleveland, maybe throw in a Pirates game now and then to amuse Heretic.

Justin did you decide on if you were resetting the vcash or not? I was gonna add some NFL and NCAAF futures but want to make sure it won't need to be redone in a few days or a month.
