I'd really like to try my hand at an online dynasty (the 3 that i've joined this year have all died before week 1 was over.

I don't have a preference on conference. I always like doing MAC type conferences though. Adds a lot of difficulty to the game.

I will be the commissioner, however if were gonna do this I want to make sure the people we get are going to play. The goal is to advance every 2-3 days. As far as teams, I am cool with doing a non-BCS conference dynasty (aside from Boise State). I don't think it is a necessity to put everyone in the same conference, as it would take away from a potential user vs. user title game. Last year my friends and I had a 4 man dynasty where two of us were in the SEC and two in the Big 12. This way, the conference championship games became a more or less national semi-fin al game.

The ways I have run dynasties before are as follows.


1. Non BCS teams, start on AA level, if we all have a lot of success bump it after a few years.

2. Any team you want, start on AA bump after a few years.

3. Create a team, anything but powerhouse, 4* max prestige, no editing of players, start on AA bump after a few seasons.

4. Last year on BuckeyePlanet they had a heisman dynasty (we could do this but start it on AA) where one of the guys created movie/tv football teams, complete with editing names of players to more accurately reflect the rosters in the movie/tv show. All teams were set up to be B or B- overall, made for a fun dynasty. I had the ESU timberwolves.....Joe Cain was not as good in the game as he was in the movie. If we went this route, I could just DL the teams from last year and we could use them. They had the ESU Timberwolves, SCLSU MudDogs, Permian Panthers, Mean Machine, Hoover HS, the Miami Sharks, West Canaan COyotes, Bayside HS, Kilpatrick Mustangs, TC Williams HS, and for the need to fill out two more teams, Springfield (of simpsons fame) and a team made of of people from the life aquatic with steve zissou.


Let's figure this out asap, ive been itching for a dynasty.....or because i have crabs.....maybe both

It's still early in the day yet. But let's shoot for 6 oclock as a deadline, see who is in, then we will vote on which option to go with.

Also what would be epic, is if we could get the same guys involved with a Madden franchise, and we could use draft classes etc. But I am not sure Madden has the ability to use draft classes on online franchises, as i didnt get madden last year.

I sent PMs to everyone in this thread who expressed interest, with the 6pm deadline. We will see how it looks by then

If we do Non-BCS, we try to make sure no team is ranked to start the year.

Madden last year you couldn't import draft classes. There wasn't even an online franchise. It was online season really.

I won't be available today. I work until noon and I'm headed to Toledo for the day to visit some friends. I'll be home all day tomorrow though.

Thats fine I just want to get the participants, which option we want to use, and teams done,by today. Then we can take tomorrow to do preseason and possibly start week 1 games etc.

I prefer non-BCS, unranked teams. I think conferences shouldn't matter but if 2 teams pick the same conference that is fine. Adds some more competition. We can decide during the season on where to go after that. I have some great ideas for my created team.

I'll take Toledo just because I don't feel like researching goon non-BCS, unranked teams.

We can do that too, create teams, no higher than b overall, and put them in non bcs conferences.
