Not gonna try to be a hardass, the tears were flowing for a lot of men during tonight's episode.

Damn near every guy can say "Phil reminds me so much of my dad/grandfather".. That hardass, my way mentality that is so ingrained in the older generation.

RIP Captain Phil Harris

i didn't cry when phil died last night. i was choked up when he and josh were talking and when he told jake not to be late for his flight to get help.

it'll be interesting to see the fleet's reaction, especially sig since he was so upset when he heard about the stroke (i believe he turned off the cabin lights (so the camera couldn't see) and cried).

really sad for those guys.

Right after he looked at his cigarettes and threw them across the room.

These guys lifestyle is unreal. 4 hours of sleep and hoped up on caffeine and nicotine.

Tonight was the toughest for me to watch and i shed some tears. I really loved the tribute afterwars i have to give the discovery channel all due respect for the way they handeled this. They have kept it as real as possible and dont see like their doing this for the money or attention but rather to honor the man and tell what a great guy he was.

I have to say tonight's episode was rougher than his passing episode. (at least to me). To watch the reaction with the fleet, well the boats that are filmed. The tribute after was weird. It was almost like he was back from the grave setting up the next sequence of film. Loved it !!!

Epic over all.

I thought it was hardest watching Freddy. Jake from N/W also had a hard time with his family issues.

Last night got to me...but not until the whole Sea Gull Comment, and the Gull on the Stern of the boat. From that point on I couldnt stopthe tears, when the Time Bandit set off the fireworks...the full pot for Phil to always come back to. You can TELL how well respected this man was....

I didnt recover until almost 10 minutes into the tribute episode....

AMAZING night of television.

Very strange about how the storm and the rough waters while he was in the hospital and then the calm for days after he died.

If I had to choose boat to work for it would be
1. Time Bandit
2. Cornelia Marie
3. Northwestern
4. Kodiak
5. Wizard

Keith just looks like an ass even when the crabbing is good.
