Wright= Man who's wife was having stroke and is an EMT
Daves= cop

also the wife was missing a leg
Wright said after carrying his wife to their car, he called the medical center to report that they were on the way, and he drove with his emergency blinkers on, blew his horn and was "cautious" as he crossed the red lights.
Daves fell in behind Wright at an intersection, with his police car lights and siren on. Wright said he was too close to the hospital to stop, and upon arrival he immediately carried his wife to the emergency room because she did not have her prosthetic leg.
The police officer confronted him, Wright said, and told him that he was "going to send me to jail." Wright said Daves also referred to him with an obscenity.
Daves could not be reached for comment Monday. But in his affidavit, in addition to saying that Wright nearly caused a collision, Daves wrote that " (the) defendant stopped in the ER entrance and jumped out and ran. Police made contact with Defendant at the passenger side of his vehicle and I grabbed the defendant's arm and he pushed me away scraping my arm with his fingernail. Defendant yelled and said it was an emergency."
"Defendant pushed through the crowd and carried a female back into the emergency room and placed her in a room with no permission of the hospital staff," Daves writes.
He also said Wright's registration was expired.
Wright said at the hospital, Daves threatened to file felony charges against him.

Is common sense not a requirement anymore to be an officer?

That officer should be suspended at best for a good period of time (not just during the investigation) but I bet nothing will come of the investigation and he'll get no punishment.

"So Trooperden, do you have your finger on the trigger anytime you pull the gun?"
"yes i certainly do, that's how we were trained"
"actually it's not, my cousin's grandfather was a police academy trainer for years upon years and that isn't what they teach"

This is how I know that when I argue with you about cops in other threads that we merely differ in opinion and you aren't simply insane/have a crush on cops.

Lol @ "What's that?"

"That's my penis"

"Oh"

I can't believe that this cop didn't do all he could to HELP get this man and his wife to the emergency room. Obviously there was an emergency situation present. Save your egotistical bullshit until after his wife is safely inside if you really feel the need to thump your chest and cite the husband.

I remember a similar situation a while ago with a Houston Texans player and his family. Can't remember the player or the relation, but utter bullshit in both instances.

I would hope that most, if not all, police departments would not want this type of person on their force. In order to know that this type of thing is going on out there, it is really important for private citizens to lodge citizen's complaints against this type of "police procedure". If the powers that be get enough complaints about certain police officers this will give additional weight to the right to dismiss these individuals. Police departments want the community's trust, not their fear.

This is what I was thinking. Yes, the guy broke multiple traffic laws, but first make sure the guy is safe and that his wife is being taken care of. Then pull him aside and cite him or arrest him in that's what needs to be done.

Plus it's not like his wife just had a broken arm or something, she was having a fucking stroke....
