I did mine first thing yesterday after it was available. I like it a lot. Multi-tasking will come in handy. And the folders are very nice. I have gone from 5 pages of app to 2. Still playing around with it for a few days until my iPhone 4 comes tomorrow.

The only things you won't get is multitasking and home screen wallpaper. You will still get......intetgrated email, threaded messaging, new camera and video features, creating playlists through the ipod app, and improved performance.

Jcrazy, I too only have the 3G and the folders option is awesome. I reduced 6 screens down to two. I also think the "Places" feature for photos is pretty cool too! I'm still playing, but so far I think it's worth the upgrade.

Should the backup on the upgrade be lasting 20+ mins? I'm stuck on one little sliver of green on the bar.

I've got a jailbroken 3G so I won't be upgrading for a while, if I ever do. I'll probably just wait until I actually decide to upgrade to the iphone 4 before messing around with iOS4.

Seeing as how my wireless is now half as reliable as it was, my iPod is no longer jailbroken, and Opera works whenever it wants to... absolutely not.

Why did you upgrade a jailbroken ipod?

lol, upgrade fail. You have to know if you upgrade you're device will no longer be jailbroken.

Also, the upgrade isn't free for iPod users is it? Previous upgrades cost $9.99

My 3g was doing that last night, I ended up doing a restore, pain in the ass but but I worked and I really was able to clean alot of the BS off of it.

Well this update is spectacular. An hour and a half later my phone won't connect to itunes, it takes 3 mins for anything I type to show up, and I can't rotate pages to get to the apps off the first page. Kudos apple.

I upgraded my iPod, it's nothing terribly special.

That's about how long it took for mine to complete.

Other cool features include spell check and the ability to email photos instead of just texting them!

Okay after several restarts its finally acting normal. The folders idea is very cool. I'm down to 2 pages to flip through instead of 9. Haven't emailed a picture yet but I'm finally happy with it.

All of the other cons are plenty enough. Not having my pirated apps is kind of annoying, though.
