lol, we'll see what happens when they get their best starter back, who hasn't started a game yet this year.

Who Jurjjens? Jurjjens has started a few games this year, I of all people should know. He killed my fantasy team while he was briefly on my team

lol yeah. You should look at picking him back up, there are good reports from his rehab. Would be a steal this late in the season.

Bump. With the Upton-Longoria spat yesterday I figure this thread may be more relevant than ever.

Upton needs to STFU and hit over .230 before he starts talking trash to the leader of the team. He lackadaisically went after that ball and should be happy he is still playing.

Sad that Upton is turning into a bust, he flashed great potential in 2008 and it looks like he isn't going to be a core player for the Rays.

I wanted to start a thread but do you guys see any shot at David Price for Cy Young? I haven't really followed baseball that much this summer but it doesn't appear to have any Cliff Lee or Zach Greinke's out there. Price is 11-3 with a 2.44 ERA to this date. Obviously a long way to go in the season but he has to be a front runner.

The National League will have a better race for Cy Young than the American League will... if Price keeps it up and comes in around the 18 or 19 win mark, and that's assuming that Phil Hughes gets shut down that keeps him from winning 20 (because if he has a 2nd half like he's had the 1st and doesn't keep getting skipped, its a strong possibility), I could really see it

I didn't know Phil Hughes was doing that well. Or Clay Buchholz for that matter. Lots of great young arms in the AL East.

Hughes is 10-1 but got skipped because the Yankees have an innings limit(no official word, but believed to be around 180 innings) placed on him, and you can almost guarantee he'll get skipped 2 or 3 times after the break to lengthen him out and get the most out of him. Andy Pettitte is also 9-2 and having a career year @ 38 years old. But I think Price has the inside track

you wonder if Boston will fall back to earth a little bit off of that streak they were on now that Pedroia and Martinez are both on the DL

Being a halfway rays fan kinda(just like the style they play, not really a big baseball fan) I kinda wish that Beckham would of panned out like they hoped. Then they could have Longoria, Beckham, Bartlett, Pena. Not too shabby of an infield. But apparently Beckham is pissing away in Single or Double A
