What course is this? I have tried to take my 5yr old with me just to walk the short par 3 which takes an hour tops to play and they get shitty about it. Not like he is slowing me down he just wants to watch and chase bullfrogs.

One thing about playing golf with me....you don't ever slow anyone down.

I just have him hit some shots out of the fairway or rough and then we'll just pick his ball up and take it towards the green....if no one is waiting he'll chip 1 or 2 times and putt until he gets it it.

We played quick enough to catch the 4-some that started on the 3rd tee when we started and a 2-some in a cart was right behind us and only had to wait for us to get out of the way on #1

Golfers who "own the course" or just play ridiculously slow irritate the bejeezus out of me.....you take 30 seconds to line up and then take 4 practice swings you better be shooting 3 under and not 98. And watch where your damn ball goes......good GOD!.......played behind two guys who lost 2 balls on a PAR 3 and neither hit their ball in the water.

I'm teaching the kid etiquette...how to walk on a green, how to pull a flagstick and where to place it, where to stand when someone is hitting......my kid ain't bothering anyone....not on my watch.

My course is very lenient for dumbasses unless they interfere with those who "own the course"

perhaps... but it certainly is more advantageous to learn proper technique at a young age, rather than learner bad habits on your own.

Congratulations on the O.P. Ironman.... It is great to introduce your child to golf this way. I am doing the same also. My wife and I took our 4 year old to putt-putt Saturday night and if the stars stay alligned I will take her to the course Thursday to hit a few shots at the range... and the a little on the course. Bought her a set of clubs last year, but she (or me) was not ready yet. She is gonna be a lefty and I bought her a set of US Kids golf for her height range. Can't wait to see her get started... I hope she comes to love golf the way that I do.

I remember to this day the first time (age 13) I beat my dad and brother (9 years older) I shot even par and nipped em both by 1 shot. It was a rough night at the house that night. LOL
