Read his twitter comments and you get an idea where he's coming from. The kid has a long way to go so far as getting focused on important things in life are concerned. From a human standpoint, I hope he gets there. Comes across on twitter as being very immature, to put it mildly.

Some people are just not college material. He sounds like he fits in that category.

Well if this turns out to be once again it would appear those who think post total have anything to do with anything again gets that slap in the face that has to leave another mark.
I watched him in high school and never thought he was all of that so I do not see this being a big loss if he departs.

hope he gets it straightened out for his sake. OSU football will be just fine. hate to see a kid fail at 19 and never recover from it. get it right young sir.

he obviously was given the benefit of the doubt out of respect to his dad,but it's time to cut ties with Duron..he was given every chance to succeed, and he didn't do it--good luck to the young man wherever he ends up.

I hope he can get whatever issues he has straightened out. If he ends up somewhere else, then good luck to him. If he gets back to OSU that's even better.

Do you think he will just say heck with college and train for a bit then go to the draft in what 2011 2012? Someone would give him a shot I'm sure.

The guy had 13 catches last year. What makes you think for one second he has NFL potential? Plus, he's probably too slow for NFL standards anyways. If he decides to give up football, he might as well turn in his application to the Citgo.

I still think someone would give him a look no matter what he does or doesn't do in college. Just being on the field as freshman gives you a little idea about his potential ability.

Citgo????? Really????
This kid has had more affluence than the vast majority of America.....he couldve dropped out of 1st grade and still never have to work a day in his life. Maybe that is the problem....

How many scholarship football players in ANY of the BCS-level programs would even bother with college if they could go straight to the NFL or at least a "AAA-level" developmental league (for, say, $40K a year) out of high school?
Maybe 25% ??

I had heard he was having problems last Christmas from a relative of mine who is pretty tight with some of the OSU coaches. What amazes me is Carter is not some kid from the hood who receive a poor education. This is a young man who grew up in an affluent household and who went to private schools.
As someone noted above, some people are not cut out for college. I am guessing Carton goes on to Coffeyville and then does a year somewhere else like USF or UCF before declaring for the NFL.

The vast majority of wealthy parents don't just turn over a bunch of money to their kids before they've had a chance to make their own way.georgemc80;396473 wrote:Citgo????? Really????

Such a shame.
I know Cris can't be happy about this. Hopefully he gets things figured out and turned around

True, he may want to transfer to Florida, we all know you don't have to worry about grades there.
