The Refs going back and over turning a play after a play had been ran in a game with playoff implications when the Browns played the Jaguars. Now known as "Bottlegate".

The Thanksgiving Day coin toss. All others mentioned were calls made in the heat of the moment. Hearing whether Bettis calls heads or tails isn't a judgment call.

This game is the reason college football has instant replay for refs.

dat dude, I was 4th row 40 yard line right behind the Arkansas bench. One of the worst calls I've ever seen in favor of Florida. Gators were driving anyway and it was already first down inside the 20, so it didn't decide the game.
But the F$U was the whole game. Herbie was there and talked about it all week after.

I didn't watch the game, so i certainly wasn't implying that the call decided the game.

In reference to the title of the thread, it was just a horrific call.

agree, they later gave Tebow a +1 yard spot on a 3rd down, but those calls don't compare to the swindle or 72 Olympics, '88 Roy Jones Jr., or

Mich. St. vs. tOSU when Woody snapped the yard sticks.

I give another nod to the 1972 US-USSR basketball game. Also, the Rich Karlis FG that was called good, ending the game now known as "The Drive".

Gotta be 5th down. Some others were bad judgment calls (some horrible), but to allow a 5th down? Doesn't even take bad judgment, it takes extreme stupidity.
