Looking forward to watching my Metropolitans invade the Jake ... errr, I mean Progressive Field ... tonight. Johan Santana vs. Justin Masterson is an interesting matchup. The Mets, while red hot (have won 8 of 9), rarely score many runs for Johan ... thoughts?

On a side note, Mets fans travel well (they estimated that more than 70% of the fans in Baltimore last weekend were Mets fans). Cleveland is a bit of hike, wondering what the turnout will be ...

Depending on the weather, there might be 15,000 people there. Up from 10,000 a couple weeks ago. This due to the arrival of top prospect Carlos Santana. Go Tribe!

This brings back bad, BAD memories of Santana in the Central. I think 2007 we took games off him (didnt hit him well, just able to win) when CC and Fausto went up against him. Other than that, I dont remember much success. Santana almost struck out 20 Indians one year.

Pronk has gone yard and the Tribe lead,3-1 bottom of three.

Santana 0-2 with the stick 0-1 at throwing runners out.

Kearns with a sweet play with the glove to keep it a three to one game.

I've came to a final conclusion that Jason Donald is NOT a short stop. He has been brutal everytime he has been involved in a throw/ground ball tonight. Absolutely no range. Truly a 2B at best.

I agree he should be playing 2nd and he is struggling tonight with the glove but overall he is decent with the glove at short.

When Cabrera comes back, Donald is going to 2nd and Valbuena is going to single A

Johan games have been so frustrating this year ... either he tosses a shutout and the Mets don't score, or he gets a quick lead and gives it up immediately. Just a weird season for Santana ... Pelfrey is the new Mets ace.

Valbuena should be sent down to Kinston and put at 2nd or short(that's where I like him) and kept there for the rest of the season.

+1000....to bad that cleat didn't dig in Valbuena's skin a bit deeper. I would hate to have to put that worthless sack of shit on the DL. He must be letting Acta sleep with his wife on a nightly basis. This is the only way I can see him still being on the MLB roster. Pathetic!!

Neither are ready but 2nd base will belong to one of the two down in Columbus before long.

Josh Rodriguez or Cord Phelps

I believe you're right and Cord Phelps will be the man eventually. Possibly mid season 2011.

Cord Phelps is the bigger name
Josh Rodriguez is up and coming plus he can play a sweet shortstop also.

Word on the street is that Westbrook is on the block, and the Mets are one of the interested parties. Not sure I am too keen on that idea ... the Mets have been pushing hard for Cliff Lee, but Seattle is asking for Jonathan Niese and Ruben Tejada, which is too much for a 3-month rental. IF they can sign him, I'd do it, but he has said all along he will hit the free agent market after the season.

Is it possible Cliff would want to come your way and re-up on an extension?

Mike Hessman 3RD BASE-WHERE BETTER THAN CLEVELAND FOR HIM TO GET A SHOT AT THE SHOW
Justin Turner-2b

I would take these two players for Westbrook from the Mets
