Thoughts?

Pierce didn't really impact the series much until the last game though..

only way i see that happening is if he has a great game 6 to win the game, then plays real well in game 7 but they lose at the end to someone other than PP.

If the C's win, the MVP goes to Rondo. Without him they don't even make the. Finals, let alone win.

lol, already thinking about Consolation prizes? I'm sure Boston would gladly give Kobe the Finals MVP, as long as Boston wins they don't care, they've proven that they don't care about personal accolades now.

With that said, NO WAY it happens.

It'll go to Rondo or PP.

rondo has the edge now, but Pierce would take it if he hits a series winning shot. Rondo hasn't been that great this series.

Pierce or Rondo if the C's win.

Gasol or Kobe if the Lakers win.

I can see it happen IF it goes seven games. Boston's had more of a team effort, while the Lakers have been Kobe and a lot of underachievers. But if it ends in six, I doubt it will happen because it won't be a "he singlehandedly NEARLY won the championship" thing.

Losers don't deserve trophies. Next question.

This. No chance it happens if the series ends ends 4-2.

West won his in a losing effort in a 4-3 series... that's the only way it happens this time around too.

They were talking about this on WKNR yesterday. A loser has not won the MVP since 1969 (Jerry West, I believe they said). If Boston wins I think it's Rondo unless the series ends up 4-2 Boston and Pierce goes off in game 6.

Kobe is the best player on the court, but he has zero chance of winning the MVP trophy if they lose unless he puts up 45+ in one of the next two games.

The Lakers will win tonight.

27 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 7.2 APG, 45% FG, 4.5 TO

30.2 PPG, 6 RPG, 4 APG, 42.5% FG, 4.2 TO

Lebron, who apparently choked the series against boston, has better numbers than kobe in 3 of 5 categories. Kobe has out shot lebron by 6 shots, in one less game (114-120). And Kobe only holds a slim advantage over Lebron in the turnover department, which has blown out of the sky from the lebron haters.

So, lebron plays better than kobe against boston and he is a choke.
Kobe makes one more basket a game and .3turnovers less than lebron and he = finals MVP?
Just shows the unrealistic expectations the haters, or fair weather fans have for lebron. Just sayin'!

If the Lakers win yes without a doubt he is.

If the Celtics win it'll go to either Rondo or Pierce.

Kobe is actually better in 4 of the 7 categories, you forgot the 2 most important ones.
