i just caught the last 30 minutes of the Xbox segment. first off let me say, all these people are just bad at talking haha. anyways, does anyone else not care about all the motion stuff(i think they call it Connect or something) like the workout game, dancing game or the racing game? maybe i am just old fashioned, but like being lazy when i play my videogames.

oh and they just announced the new Xbox360 will be available at the end of the week in stores. 250GB hard drive and a really fast Wifi or something.

Kinect actually looks promising. They can do some interesting things with it.

New Metal Gear Solid looked cool too.

Also, ESPN on the 360 for gold subscribers...free. On demand.

Totally disappointed. I was hoping for the Valve "surprise". I'm foolishly optimistic for the EA conference in 2 hours. I'll probably be disappointed again though.

Valve has it's own conference for it's "surprise".

250gb hard drive
Wireless N built in (about time)
Optical Audio out.
Some weird new connector beside the USB ports in the back.
Apparently "whisper quiet".

No. Power. Brick. Internal power supply.

They canceled their conference, but supposedly there will still be a "surprise".

They canceled the Portal party at E3. I'm sure they'll still have things to announce. They could very well have been lying about canceling that too.

At this point, no one has a clue. I love Valve's games, but they really piss me off with marketing and stuff. Very frustrating.

I don't much see the point of that article other than MS bashing.

Now. It started shipping to retailers yesterday. So it should be in stores as soon as now or as late as the end of this week. I'd expect Wenesday-Friday to be when it gets to most stores.

Twisted Metal Coming to PS3
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/06/15/surprise-twisted-metal-coming-to-ps3/ (video here)

We know this is going to be the best Twisted Metal ever released. 16 players online, 2-4 player split screen, amazing new game modes, helicopters, motorcycles, sports cars, all battling it out in highly interactive levels with all the skill, speed, and strategy you could ask for! It’s been a long while since the last console Twisted Metal was released, but we think the wait will have been worth it. We’re crazy proud of the new game and are looking forward to entertaining all of the loyal TM fans as well as earning many new Twisted Metal devotees with this title.

But the game is not done yet. We’ve got a ways to go so we could really use your help. The game is playable on the show floor starting now. So if you’re able to get into E3 this year, please come to the Sony booth and give Twisted Metal a play. And then please hit us back on our brand new Eat Sleep Play forums with your likes, dislikes, issues, changes, fixes, etc. Whatever feedback we can get, we are grateful for. Early user feedback is one of the key things that turns a game into a classic. And we want this baby to be classic!

Ok, so that’s that. Twisted Metal is coming on Playstation 3! And we could not be more pleased! Now we’re off, into the bowels of the Los Angeles Convention Center to see the sites, play the games, and hey, who knows, perhaps discover a few surprises along the way! Stranger things have
happened!

Great to be back ya’ll! We missed you!

I agree with the above posters about Valve. They have by far the best games out there but they are soooooo slow sometimes. I want Episode Three as well. They need to stop fucking around with Left 4 Dead and Portal and at least tell us SOMETHING about when Episode Three will be ready. It's been almost THREE years since Episode Two and they haven't said a god damn thing about Three. It better be as long as a full length game for how long they've dragged their feet on this one.

PlayStation Plus announced, available later this month for $49 per year
Sony has confirmed its intentions to offer a premium for-pay version of the PlayStation Network. The name is slightly different from what was initially reported, and will now be called PlayStation Plus. Online play will still be available for all PSN members, free and paying. PlayStation Plus offers a number of added perks, though:

* Exclusive in-game DLC and other content
* Free full games, changing each month
* Early access to demos and betas
* Auto-patching feature, which will detect, download and install updates

PlayStation Plus will be available later this month for $49 annually, or $18 for three months. Subscribers will receive Wipeout HD, a demo for inFamous, Fieldrunners, Age of Zombies, Rallycross and a handful of themes and avatars for free throughout July.

Other than the Zelda game for the Wii, I think this seems to be a weak year. Some good games, but nothing that puts me in awe.
