^^^You forgot government interference in our personal health care (IE: ObamaKare).

What's another $50 Billion? Chump change compared to what the BHO-Reid-Pelosi Express has already spent. We'll just pass it on to the next 2 or 3 generations and let them deal with it.

I don't mind Obama putting some pressure on BP. Yes, the spill needs to be cleaned up, but businesses and other parties affected need help NOW, not later.

We shouldn't continue unbridled spending but I hate people crying about the inadequacies of our government because they spend money we don't have (trying to help businesses that our suffering) when those same people support(ed) spending money we didn't have to blow shit up in the desert halfway across the world.

I understand. But bitching about the past does nothing to change the future. What you have to realize is sometimes people like myself can be swayed by present circumstances and change their political priorities when it comes to spending federal dollars. Sometimes it takes dire circumstances to wake people up. Maybe at times it comes too late but you should welcome their change of mind. Perhaps some are motivated purely by politics, and I understand the skepticism towards that, but at this point our country needs everyone we can get on the cut spending across the board ship. Try welcoming them aboard the ship instead of pushing them overboard with the politics of the past.

You know how much like a fucking whiny bitch people sound like when they ask if someone opposed spending under Bush? It's like a freaking kid at recess crying because he got in trouble for doing something that the bigger kids did. The past is the past. I didn't support government spending under Bush and I don't now. Anyone who thinks we should continue to piss away this country by racking up huge debts just because Bush did it needs to take their diaper off.

Not sure, but just added to the debit probably, honestly.

I see the need for some federal money to help cleanup and rebuilding, but I'd also say BP needs to pay for a good 80% of the total cost.
