Beating the same team twice in one year is a tall task in high school football. 2 wins in 2 rematches in that league is very impressive to me no matter how many OT's it took to get the W.ridgerunner88 wrote: Ursuline is the odds on favorite by most people. Match-ups are made by geographic location. I picked Coldwater early on before the playoffs but they are making me nervous after needing OT two weeks in a row. They don't seem quite as dominate as in the recent past.

I would have to give Coldwater the edge in this one mostly because of the obvious better schedule. Patrick Henry had more trouble with Tinora than I thought they would. Any win in a rematch game is a good win so pick Coldwater 35-17.

Should be a great one. Buenger will need to get to the outside a few times, he runs well between the tackles but runs best when he can get to the outside and use his speed. If PH can't seal the DE it could be a long night. The gates open at 6:00, correct?

Pat Henry will win this game. Coldwater has a few weeknesses and PH will expose those. I fell this game ends up 17-14.

Go Cavs!!! Beat Patrick Henry!!!
This should be a very good ball game.
One interesting take on the comments that were posted about the kid in the math class and how non MAC teams fare against MAC teams. One thing I have heard time and again when reading about these games. The MAC teams play hard, they play hard and with confidence. They play hard because they prepare well, they prepare well because they respect their opponents. Typically, their opponents come away respecting them. A quote that sticks out in my mind was following Coldwater's 2007 State Title game versus Mooney. John Reed said, "Respect everyone and fear no one, and that's sincere." To have that mindset in the playoffs leads to the ability to keep things together when the going gets tough like it has the last few weeks. Just keep playing hard and never count yourself out.
I think this will be a great game between two great teams. Patrick Henry is a program that deserves respect. You don't get this far without playing good football. I think the Cavs will be ready to put it all on the line.
Safe Travels to all.

Pass defense. Run offense. KO coverage. FG/EP are a number of the Cavs weaknesses.ECIC wrote:Mind sharing those weaknesses?kathyjane wrote: Pat Henry will win this game. Coldwater has a few weeknesses and PH will expose those. I fell this game ends up 17-14.

Coldwater 35 Patrick Henry 24
PH led 10 - 7 at the half. Both teams scored in the first half on post turnover possessions. PH drove for the field goal at the end of the half.
Coldwater came out hot with two 3 rd qtr TDs and another early in the fourth to go up 28 - 10. PH came right back to score and make it 28 - 17. Coldwater increased the lead in the middle of the 4th then Patrick Henry scored with 4 min to go to close the scoring.
The big third quarter jump started the Cavs.
Great Season for the Patriots! Congrats to PH on making the State Semis
Good Luck to Coldwater next week in the Finals against Ursuline. Friday 3 pm in Canton Fawcett Stadium.
Go Cavs!!!! Beat the Irish!!!!

Way to go Cavs. You proved again that a great team rises to adversity. I was just hoping that you would not have to do it in OT. We (Alter) missed you this year, but good luck in the final.

I believe that if you draw a radius of 45 miles around Lima you see kids that are respectful, but play hard and are brought up to be competitive, but understand what IS really important in life..
Most of us who grew up in this area are from German descent - and are brought up that way - with solid values.
Saw the highlights on channel 11 out of TOledo last night -- they were interviewing the George kid from PH -- all he could talk about was the health of Coach Reed from Coldwater, just a great example of the respect given FROM most kids in this area.
I am proud to not only have grown up in this area but have had both of my Daughters do the same.
