Seahawks rookie wide receiver Golden Tate apologized Tuesday and said he was "very embarrassed'' after police in suburban Seattle gave him a warning for trespassing into a gourmet doughnut shop at 3 a.m. last weekend.

Top Pot recently signed an agreement with the Seahawks' stadium, Qwest Field, to sell doughnuts and coffee during NFL and Major League Soccer games.

I suspect Charlie Weis got him hooked.

LOL at the Weis comment.

Yeah hopefully he paid for the doughnuts... but the last quote makes me think he didn't. What a cheap ass. I loved Hasselbeck's comment as well "Must be some good Maple Bars!"

TMZ obtained the 911 call made on Saturday morning -- in which the Top Pot employee tells the dispatcher Golden and a friend snuck in through an unlocked door, stole keys and a bunch of donuts ... and then ran off.

The woman also claims the Seattle Seahawks star then came back to the scene of the crime, returned the keys, and tried to blame his friend for the heist ... but the employee says she watched Tate "running from behind the counter."

Wow, a professional athlete acting like a dumb ass? I'm shocked. Do these kids not learn a single damn thing in college? You'd think after signing to the NFL, they'd have the money for donuts and know better than rob the store. Why the hell did the police just give him a warning anyway? Anyone want to bet what the average black guy who wasn't a NFL star would receive?

The cops knew he would beat the charge. See the cops confiscated the donuts as evidence, but then they ate the evidence. Therefor he gets a warning.
