My jaw dropped when I saw the picture of Lake High School. Good luck to the school, administration, students, and community as they rebuild.

I live in Perrysburg. I tried to drive by Lake yesterday on 795 but they have it closed just East of Perrysburg all the way pretty east of Lake twp. Lemoyne road was also closed from just south of Woodville road all the way to the intersection of 795.

You have to park and walk to get anywhere near the destruction at the school and Main Street in Millbury.

Lake had an incredible graduation ceremony at Owens tonight. Congrats to the class of 2010, especially a big shout out to my little sister, who will be attending Adrian College next fall and who was in the top 10 of her class.
Scarlet-your pics are all the dreaded red X's.

Tbone, glad your family is ok. I had a tornado hit my street about 10 years ago. 1 neighbor was killed about a half mile from me. A co-worker lost his home in a Xmas day tornado a few years ago. Your pics remind me of Hurricane Andrew. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours in the community. Keep the faith

Here's a link to the story of the graduation, can't believe the valedictorian lost her father, should have been a great time in her life and this happens

Another lake high school graduate here (1978). Having grown up all my life in that area I was shook up to say the least. I drove by the school today and down 795 to Moline and the destruction is just amazing. It is amazing to me that a house can be destroyed and right across the street a warehouse is fine. It is very sobering to take a drive by the path. Things that I have seen for years are gone, and it really looks different.
I am sure that rebuilding will take place but there are many people that will be forever dealing with this.

to add to my thread, I drove by the school again today and was able to drive into Millbury. I was amazed by the damage. I do not think that I will ever ignore a warning siren again.

I saw where Columbus Public donated 10 buses to help them out, thought that was pretty cool of them.
Those pics are incredible some amazing stories for sure.

Ryan Walters, husband and father to the Mary and Hayden Walters (who were killed in the tornado a week ago) died yesterday from the injuries he sustained from the tornado. The lone survior from the family was the seven year old girl, Maddie.
