Also, from yahoo.According to source, Celtics' Tom Thibodeau is latest coach to be represented by CAA & Wes Wesley. Same agency as LeBron/Wade/Bosh

World Wide Wes has been telling everyone that he believes LeBron James(notes) is leaning hard toward signing with the Chicago Bulls. No one can be certain if basketball’s most famous middleman has been whispering honest insights to friends or amping the anxiety of Cleveland owner Dan Gilbert. Just know this: It wasn’t until Tom Thibodeau – who swore he never again wanted an agent – signed with William Wesley’s CAA that the Chicago Bulls grew serious about the coach’s candidacy.
Something pushed Bulls officials to get on a plane, fly to Los Angeles on the eve of the NBA Finals and meet with the Boston Celtics assistant coach. Within 48 hours, the Bulls had a deal for Thibodeau to become their head coach. For several weeks, the Bulls had chances to interview him. They never did. Just a year ago, Thibodeau couldn’t get offers from the Sacramento Kings, Detroit Pistons, Philadelphia Sixers and Minnesota Timberwolves. The Celtics see him as a career assistant and wouldn’t even consider him as a candidate to replace Doc Rivers.
Only now, Tom Thibodeau has a three-year contract to coach the Chicago Bulls.

What? Why would you do that? It was much more entertaining when they were in denial mode and shooting this down before the dust had even settled

I think its a good hire but les not get carried away, there is a reason that this guy has been an assistant in the league for damn near 20 years. As far as him being represented by the same agency that reps Bron,Wade etc.........who cares? That doesnt prove a thing.

If LeBron is going to Chicago it's biggest it's a bigger city, Rose and Noah, favorite team growing up, follow in Jordan's shadow, blah blah blah.....It's not because of this hire. I've always been alarmed when the "lifelong assistants" become head coaches after being passed over for numerous years (see Crennel, Romeo). Personally if they went the assistant route I think Brian Shaw would've been a better hire than Thibodeau. With that said you still have to call it a good hire at this point.

LOL @ people who believe that rumor.
Supposedly LeBron and Nike were releasing "special" Nikes for a marketing ploy in which each pair would have a different city on them.
You guys are pretty ignorant if you believe ANY of the rumors going on right now.

This has been common knowledge for awhile. If Ferry had stayed, the target would have likely been Coach K. Gilbert has MAJOR wood for Izzo and his "football coach" mentality.

Yeah, Wes is saying LeBron to the Bulls and another is LeBron/Bosh taking major pay cuts to Miami.
The rumors will just get worse and worse as July 1st approaches.
Good hire by the Bulls but not great. Could be a bad move as he has no prior HC experience.

Say goodbye to Boston's relevancy. Doc Rivers is an idiot with defenses.

Wait, what was it I was saying?

The Bulls were told by a few people close to James that the hiring of Thibodeau would not influence his decision on coming to Chicago one way or the other, and that after reports surfaced that John Calipari might be a candidate for Bulls coach, James let it be known he did not want to be part of those decisions for any prospective team unless it involved someone he really did not like.

Shaq said on his Twitter today that the Cavs should hire Shaw.
