Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, out comes this bullshit about LeBron and the Larry King interview.
So here is how it goes with ESPN, I suppose: they take a guy who rarely gets in front of the camera on his own and label him as a media whore who strives for and lives for the attention (as if he asks for it and doesn't just receive it for being the best player on the planet). They try and force the issue of him going to a bigger market for their own gain. They BEG for him to say something, chastise him if he doesn't (on top of calling him a media whore...makes zero sense)--then when he does, they do the same. They can't stand that he wants to take advantage of his rights a FA, rather than just giving them the story right away. They take things way out of context and IGNORE the questions he is asked and the fact that he's just answering them. The entire thing about Cleveland having an edge is just cracking me up. They've been begging for him to say something, then when he does, they say he said nothing and they just complain about it. There is absolutely no patience anymore because they decided to stop being a source of news and turn themselves into a glorified TMZ. Nothing more than a rumor mill.
BUT, can you imagine what would have been the case if he said Chicago had the edge? HUGE story. But why do they discount it when he says that Cleveland does? Well, if you haven't figured that out yet, you're a total moron. And even the thing with the Clippers--he was asked a question, and he said nothing more than if they added a high level player they could be a good team. Then they read into that and say he isn't going there, what the hell is he talking about? That franchise doesn't care about winning, he says he cares about winning but he's talking about joining a franchise that has never won. WTF? Did anyone else read that quote and get the feeling that he said he was going to sign there? Is everyone stupid enough to ignore the fact that he just answered a question? Not to mention that on the same "LeBron Tracker" page, they have a list of the best possible duo's that he could potentially be a part of and have Blake Griffin ahead of Amare and Boozer. Incredible.
I could go on for days, but I may as well end the rant because I think the point has been made time and time again. But this whole situation is an epic fail for ESPN. Could it possibly get any uglier and could they possibly look more stupid than they already do? Stay tuned, I think so.

I mean, just read this article and tell me it isn't line after line of complete and utter fabricated bullshit...
http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nba/columns/story?id=5241556
You beg him to say something, and say he's said nothing when in reality all he has said is that he wants to weigh his options (his right as a FA). But then when he does say SOMETHING, you essentially say he is a lying and that NY or NJ actually has the edge--as if Rob Parker knows something LeBron doesn't?
It's embarrassing that they can't just wait like the rest of us and they go to incredible lengths to try and turn nothing into a story.

Are you kidding me?If anything -- sorry, Cavaliers fans -- it shows that James is searching for the best way to let everyone down easy when he finally decides to leave the comforts of the Midwest for the bright lights and a new challenge in the big city.
New York has the best chance, with both the Knicks and Nets angling to sign this summer's prized free agent in possibly the NBA's most talent-rich free-agent pool ever.

SMFH. Why isn't the same being written about every other free agent? Oh, that's right, because LeBron "sells papers"...yet they convince so many people of total BS so easily. Many want to believe this is the big tease -- that James just wants to be courted. He wants teams to wine and dine him and tell him how great he is. Others believe -- since he opted for the pros out of high school -- he's doing this to finally have that recruiting experience.
None of that makes sense.
Why go through all that just to stay in the same place? You'd have to be serious about bolting to go to these lengths.
Plus, James is rolling the dice by not signing a contract for all that guaranteed cash. He could have been injured. Or worse, suffered an accident and missed out on all that loot. So you know money can't be the issue -- especially since the Cavs can pay more than any of his other suitors.
And with all the money James has from endorsement deals, he can eat at the best restaurants and travel anywhere in the world already. He doesn't need some NBA owner to foot the bill to feel cool.
Well you know what Rob, maybe, just MAYBE, it's you that have been a little overbearing and premature in your reporting of this "story".So in the end, pass on the King interview, because we've heard it all before -- nothing.

Jesus Christ.
Just wake me up when he signs somewhere. Until then, LeBron James the "Ringleader" (of a circus) ain't worth my time.

No, you're the victim. LeBron has orchestrated this for 3 years now. He's dangled it every chance he can get and has played like a fucking prima dona. He wants every bit of the attention he's getting. Even going on LARRY FUCKING KING. Give me a break. LeBron Tracker? Lol. You mean pointless, arbitrary SPECULATION and CONJECTURE on something as mundane as where a guy who hasn't won shit in this league is going to play basketball next year?
Please. Have fun parsing quotes for hidden meaning and crying about ESPN articles that are just as worthless as your posts.

It's also worth noting that you hero-worship LeBron and plan on following him where-ever he goes, because you're not a true sports fan, just an opportunistic front-runner fanboy.
I'm cool with Kobe, but if he ain't rocking that Forum Blue and Gold--he can go get fucked.

LMFAO. If you were worthy of engaging in conversation with, I may do it--but you're just wasting your time posting on my thread.

Bro, you've been pretty much wrong with everything regarding this NBA season, so I'm not really concerned with conversating with you. It just turns into me lecturing you, and that's not fun for me, you, or the good people of the Chatter.

I really don't wanna hear another word out of LeBron until it's a sentence that begins with "I've decided to sign with...".

You haven't heard a word out of LeBron about this since he said he didn't want to talk about it until the season was over--which includes the last few weeks since the season has ended for him. The media is trying to force you to believe that he is the one pushing the issue and not them--and sadly, it's working. Unfortunately the media won't allow you to not hear about it and then they force you to blame LeBron for it being a huge story. They're the ones that write the stories...

At least he's on Larry King and not outside with a bunch of cholos calling out Andrew Bynum and the Lakers organization
Seriously though, ESPN is SEVERELY overplaying LeBron. I find it absolutely hilarious that LeBron does his first interview with CNN and not ESPN.

Yea, you're right. The media forced him to sit down with Larry King during the week of the Finals. I agree. HE HASNT SAID ANYTHING AT ALL.
PLEASE. You're NAIVE if you don't think the media attention isn't EXACTLY what LeBron wants.

Worked didn't it? LeBron cares way too damn much about his rep and ego. Kobe may have "thrown them under the bus" but it produced results, something LeBron and the Cavs haven't done.hoops23;377631 wrote:At least he's on Larry King and not outside with a bunch of cholos calling out Andrew Bynum and the Lakers organization

The Lakers have been producing results well before Kobe came along.

Which has nothing to do with the Bynum thing. It's all about "what have you done for me lately"

Actually it has everything to do with the Bynum thing. Kobe didn't need to go on a tirade, I'd trust that organization to get the job done as they have many times in the past.
In fact, Bynum has NEVER developed into the player he could have blossomed into and he probably never will.

first of all andrew bynum is 21, and when healthy, he'd be better than dwight howard. let's not act like his career is settled or anything.
secondly, kobe only cares about winning. that's it.

No shit LeBron cares about his image, you have to. But it's hilarious that anyone thinks this is about his image or about fame--that comes with him being who he is on the court. People act like he's in front of a camera screaming for it--it's mind numbing.
LeBron says he only cares about winning--and he's a liar, apparently. Because he hasn't won. Kobe plays with HOFers, wins and says he only cares about winning and it's believed that he's telling the truth. Because he's won. But so many people aren't smart enough to see why that doesn't make sense.

Andrew Bynum is soft physically and even softer mentally. He'll never be much more than what he is now.
I'm sure people played the age card with Desagana Diop as well.
Point is, none of this really fucking matters what so ever. The Lakers are still playing, the Cavs and LeBron are worried about next season.

Well if this is true, didn't you just prove Kobe's point that maybe he should have been traded? I don't think he should have, but your last statement sure made it sound like it.hoops23;377642 wrote:Actually it has everything to do with the Bynum thing. At that time? FUCK NO. Andrew had a ton of potential, but I think Kobe mentally fucked him up. Not only that, but dude can't stay healthy (no fault in that though)
