That's a really great way to try and convince an entire group of people to switch products - bash the hell out of the product they are using in a vague, nondescript way while giving a completely partisan analysis of your own product. You should be a campaign manager.

As to your question, here are several reasons off the top of my head:

1. 235 posters > 23 posters. And a lot of the posters coming over are posters that were pretty respected over on JJ. This site is going to continue to grow - there is no reason for freehuddle to join Ohio Sports Forum. They should join this site.

2. Justin has always seemed like a really cool dude, he has the better site name, and he is a web developer (which, I'm assume, means he probably built most of this site himself). If the site is in any way inferior to yours, I'm sure Justin can easily upgrade it.

And ultimately, if there was someone I'd be willing to donate money to, it would be Justin.

3. You're in charge over there. You were always abrasive as hell over on JJ and you've picked right back up where you were before on this site. I don't want to be part of a site where you have free reign to be an asshole.

This is partially true. I am a web developer but I did not build this site software. It is written in the same language (PHP) that I develop in and I have full access to the code. That means I can customize the shit out of it if new features are wanted/needed/whatever. I also have root access to the server, too.

And thanks for the whole post, in general. I appreciate it.

I'd much rather stay here, myself. Justin's alright in my book. Plus I like the people here. This site is perfect for the amount of people that are currently in it. And like somebody else already stated, Justin can tweak to fit the need as it grows.

For the record, Mike basically just set the site up. I took it from there and have been generally the only one moderating it. It is a pretty good site as well, but you're right...it lacks the manpower that freehuddle.com has. I personally am not going to start a war or try and compete (see my post regarding other message boards on Mike's site).

If Justincredible want's my expertise on his site...I'll listen to offers. He knows I've offered to help, and I will if he so chooses.

Again, I encourage everyone to enjoy both sites. They are similar, but also different. Mike's site has an "adult only forum," where the cursing, vulgar images (including boobs and vaginas) and big boy talk is limited to. So if you want a clean site, with a filth option...I've provided that on Mike's site.

However, I don't agree with all the bashing of Mike. I just met him Monday when he asked for my help. He has been very pleasant, is doing things for good reasons and I've gained respect for him. I don't necessarily agree with his tactics on this thread...but I do support Mike and his site.
