The defending NCAA champion 4x100-meter relay team finished first in the NCAA East Regional with a season-best time of 38.81 seconds.
Chris Rainey and Jeff Demps are half of this team.

^^^

Good for them.

A straight line 100 meters without pads and without 11 guys chasing them down on defense.

Congratulations, you're fast under non-football conditions

Very cool.

But, track speed does not equal football field speed.

I know, but I posted it anyway for the entertainment. Rainey has been chased down on the field, but not Demps. They just need to stay healthy or Andre Debose will be fastest.

Imagine if Jamaica had a football team... they'd be the best ever.

Everyone knows that Demps is the fastest player in the country by far. With Jacoby Ford and Trindon Holliday out the door it isn't even a question. Demps has two of the 10 fastest times in the world this year. It would be a major upset for anyone other than him to win the 100m NCAA's. Demps is also fast on the Football field as well, 7.5 ypc is sick, he has a chance to break the NCAA record for career ypc.

Only if they were in the SEC. If they were in any other conference (read: Big Ten) they would immediately become slow.

LOL! Put pads on them and they are still two of the fastest guys in college football. Demps is the fastest.

I'm sure there is a Big10 School that will probably beat them in the 4x100 though. :)

SEC and Every other conference have similar speed in the skill positions

The SEC is faster in the trenches and thats why they win Championships.

I'd love to see these guys in the trenches come up to Columbus, they'd get their ass handed to them all the way back to Florida or wherever the hell they came from!

LMAO.......you're so fucking clueless.

Some of these other SEC hater posts are hysterical too. Speed is speed people, doesn't matter if it's in 80 degree weather or five below!

I guess you guys are right............I mean, the 40 times of football players arent looked at heavily by NFL scouts......lol! So, nope.....speed on a track doesnt = speed on a football field. If you are the fastest track runners, it means you are slow on the football field.

They are just upset that their beloved Buckeyes have gotten their asses handed to them by SEC teams. The person that stated that they are fast in the trenches is absolutely correct. The Big Ten has slow lineman defensive and offensive while the SEC has fast linemen.
