Hopefully the second time is the charm for this bastard. He was believed to have been killed in 2008 too, so obviously they'd have to be pretty sure he's dead to say it again. Boy, would that be embarrassing... :s

My opinion? This is effin' awesome. I do like how Obama has increased strikes in Pakistan. We can't win in Afghanistan alone, we need to also be attacking the root in Pakistan too. +1 for us though.

Good to get him out of the way. He will be replaced. But, it is a good sign.
Drone strikes are great, as a tactic, to eliminate the key guys. But ,we still need some boots and grunts on the ground to turn the low level guys.

But....but....Obama promised us we'd be out of the region within 18 months of his taking office. If that's the case we need to be out by next month.

Why not say he did the right thing in your opinion by changing his mind?

When?
If you are referring to the West Point speech in December, that was to remove the additional troops that are coming in now, not a complete withdraw. The administration has not floated the idea of a complete withdraw from the region of ground forces. Congress has, but not the WH.
