Who are some pro athletes that it seems like yesterday we were talking about, to now all of a sudden we hardly hear a word about them.

Steve Francis comes to my mind. Former rookie of the year, three time all-star (starter one year), dunk contest finalist. What ever happen to him?

If we include college players this list could be huge.

Even Cavs fans can admit this one - Daniel Gibson.

Zito is a good one.

Gibson is too, though it really isn't his fault--unless there were things we didn't know about.

I dont think that its all his fault. Mike Browns substitution patterns hurt him. I think Boobie can have a decent NBA career if hes given the chance

Andruw Jones.

5 time all-star, 10 time gold glove, 10 straight years of 25+ home runs (including 51 in 2005) and 85+ RBI (5 times over 100).

Turned 30 and completely forgot how to play baseball. Or completely forgot how to inject steroids. One or the other.

Andruw Jones does have 26 HR's in 402 AB's over the past 2 years. I'd say he got that phat contract and gave up. Andruw was always lazy, so I'm not surprised.

Seeing how the other 2 have been named already...I'll throw out the 3rd of the big 3. Mark Mulder.

It's hard to say that some pitchers disappeared because you don't really disappear if you've had a serious injury. Some pitching injuries are just career ending or very career altering. So I wouldn't say they disappeared in the way that I think the OP means it. Nothing you can do about injuries.

His best winning percentage in Atlanta (save last year when he was 2-1) is below EVERY year in Oakland. He hasnt been close to the same pitcher. Dude was talked about as one of the best in the game all the time. You RARELY hear him mentioned outside of the highlight when he started. He isnt mentioned amoung Cy Young contenders, all stars, or even key components to the team.

I think fat Andruw Jones has 7 or 8 SB this year and 9 or 10 HR....and playing in the OF most of the time.
