Lost a ball in the lights that dropped at least 30 ft behind him. He was so scared the ball was going to hit him, he didn't even move to try to find the ball.

Routine fly ball to center, Stubbs came a good 30 feet in front of the ball, looking up confused, and raised his hands. Bruce had to grab the ball, Iwamura was already on 3rd.

you know Votto will double

so if the Reds get anyone on in the 8th the game will be at least tied

Wow...Hanrahan probably only made one bad pitch that entire inning and BP made him pay for it!

Career HR #100 for Brandon.

Masset needs to go back to AAA on friday when the replacement starter is called up. He is just god awful this year. Its not like he's given up garbage runs, he continually gives up leads or puts us further behind when we within shouting distance.

Ugh. This is the fucking Pirates.....

Dotel will put some runners on, but I think the reds are in a fog offensively tonight.

Hoping I am wrong.

Masset is so fucking pathetic, it's unreal. I'm sick of him either A) not being able to find the friggin' strike zone or B) giving up room service fastballs that turn into moon shots, especially when the game is on the line. I would love to see his ass sent to AAA so he can figure it out while not costing the Reds any more games late. Guys like Maloney, Wood, Chapman, etc. can surely get more guys out than what Masset does, right?

The guy is a hack. He's proved numerous times that he doesn't have the mind set to be a future closer. If it's a close game with any semblance of pressure, he straight shits down his leg.

Pirates win 2-1

frankly, this was the only game they could win in this series

Arroyo will beat Ohlendorf tomorrow and Morton will get crushed on Thursday, so they needed this to avoid the four-game sweep

good work by Maholm, he didn't get the win but lowered his ERA to 3.98

even if he doesn't have a good record his ERA needs to be lower than 4, that's on him to be consistent with the ERA

It is time for Massett to go away for a while. The dude gives up runs seemingly everytime he pitches.

tough one to lose for Cincy. also cost me a win in the fantasy league, was sure I could count on Leake tonight.

Guess there will be a lot of Padres fans on here tonight; first pitch against St. Louis from Petco Park is at 10:15
