With a win tonight the Reds will be the first NL team to 30 wins, FWIW. And the only team with more wins is the Rays.

As far as saying a soft schedule...this isnt HS or college where you can schedule pansies and pretty much automatic wins.
Any professional sports team that is in first place almost 1/3 into the season has earned it. They are playing professional teams as well. It isnt like they get to pick and choose some of their schedule, demand they play only at their place, play lower divisions in state schools to "keep money in the state"....
It it what it is.........if a team is in first in their professional league...kudos to them.

I will give them credit for playing well up to this point, but it is clear to everyone in both leagues who the dominant teams are and will be, and some of the teams that are off to hot starts(i.e. Toronto, Tampa Bay) haven't played enough games against those quality teams yet
