I'd really like to try it but I wonder if it really works, and also its expensive as shit.

Speaking spanish would help me immensely at my job (border patrol......just kidding) and I already have a large understanding of the language being that I took 5 years of the language in HS and college.

So....have you or anyone you know tried it?

similar situation...took 3 years in HS, 2 Years in college...but never used Spanish conversationally.
Rosetta Stone was still helpful from a literacy standpoint while travelling. definitely helped.
