What a pathetic display by the bullpen.

Masset is fucking terrible. He couldn't strike out an old lady swinging a purse. I'm sick of watching him.

Cordero is a joke. One of the highest paid closers and he's nothing special. it normally takes some great defensive plays to bail his ass out. Might as well have Danny Graves pitching for us.

leaving Mike Lincoln in for a 3rd inning was a brilliant move, Dusty.

Nix had a really good chance and maybe should of caught that grand slam. Not real sure how he missed it.

I love the Reds...but this is why they won't win the division...good teams don't blow shit like this.

Now they'll precede to go into Cleveland and lose 2 of 3...and the team will start their annual decline.

Looks like there's more room on the ship. A lot jumped off today.

Demoralizing I agree but I do think this team has some heart and won't tank it from here on out. Too many players that play the game the right way to have a downward spiral.

Doesn't matter what those veteran players do when you have guys like Lincoln, Masset, and Fisher who all suck in the bullpen and along with an aging closer.

Speaking of the bullpen, where the hell is Jared Burton?

I have 1 question: why was Lincoln pitching a third inning????

I'm officially worried now. This kind of game is tough in the L column, but it could absolutely ruin any positive karma this team had going. The series with Cleveland is now HUGE this weekend. They have to win 2 out of 3.

I hate the stupid pitch count. No need to pull your starter when he has a whale of a game going. In fact, the starting pitchers have been outstanding for the past 2 weeks..

And what's the damn deal? Why are none of the day games being covered by Fox Sports Net? I've never been so irritated...who the hell wants to watch the Pac-10 Track and Field championships that are not LIVE?

I agree with taking leake out. I'm more surprised it happen. Baker usually runs arms into the ground. It was the decision to leave Lincoln out there that pisses me off.

The Reds failed to hold a lead of at least 6 runs in the ninth inning for just the second time in 58 years

They are treakint Leake with kids gloves this season as I think he's never pitched more than 165 innings in a season. I dont have an issue with taking him out to be honest with ya.

ANY combination of the pitchers outta the BP should be able to hold onto that lead. Iw ouldnt blame the manager here....blame the players for a piss poor execution.

Adam Dunn homer its meaningless.
Could've used another "meaningless" home run today I guess. This loss is un-freakin-believable.

I hope this ends the "Masset is a future closer" talks. The guys has proved more often than not that he folds like a lawn chair when there's pressure.
