Kobe wasn't even trying tonight and he still controlled the game.
3 day rest for Kobe before game 3. Phoenix better come up with some sort of a defense or its over.

Suns, MAYBE. Or maybe in game 4. I can see them MAYBE taking one of these two but the series ends in game 5 in LA at the latest. I'll still take the Lakers, no real reason not to at this point. The Suns have to go to plan B.

bayless is an attention whore. he says outrageous things to garner a reaction. that's why i don't watch him.

as for the series. unless something changes, my prediction of LA in 5 will be wrong. It will be LA in 4.

PHX looks outmatched.

I mean, hell, it could happen. Let's not act like it's mathematically eliminated from the equation.

But, I don't really know what Skip would be basing this on. They have nobody who can guard Kobe, Lamar, or Pau Gasol. They don't play defense, and it's not like all of a sudden they're going to go from defensive atrocity to defensive power-house.

I'd say Magic have a much better chance of coming back than the Suns.

It's looking like LA-Boston. An unsuspected surprise.

Skip is a very smart guy. I'm not at all surprised he said that. I certainly don't agree with it, but a few others have already hit the nail on the head--RATINGS. On most topics, he presents a very good argument and has great points. But on some, he clearly goes the unpopular way for entertainment purposes. Some don't realize that, I didn't at one point but I do now. It's the same reason he hates on LeBron, because in this world you have to be different to stand out. ESPECIALLY in the media.

Skip is a smart guy, behind the scenes. When he's on air, he's WORKING. He says shit that makes us watch 1st Take. Sometimes it's crazy, and sometimes he's perfectly right even if it's an uncommon thought. SQ is coming around. You use to bitch about that man a lot. I think you hated him, ha.

I did. I used to hate him, I bought into it like a lot of people do until I became smart enough to realize why he does what he does. Now I love him, I think he's one of the smartest guys on ESPN to be honest, you just have to know how to separate his BS from how he really feels.
