Ohhhhhhh, I finally saw the bet, read over it before.

But no thanks, I could care less what your avatar is or who gets drafted where. I called him a top 3 prospect because he is by most accounts.

He was comparing Kwame Brown's size to Cousins size. Which isn't even close.
And doesn't mean shit...lol

And Cousins is listed at 245 on his high school page, same as Brown coming out of high school.

Also only has him listed as 6' 9". 245 at 6'9" compared to 240 at 6' 11".... Hmmmmm

Well considering the exact same type of things were said about Kwame Brown entering the league as Cousins: The ridiculous movement and speed for someone his size but the attitude problems, then it makes sense to compare them.

We'll see what Cousins is listed at during the combine but I highly doubt it's 6'11".

Evan Turner thinks he should go number 1 because...

From Michael Lee's twitter(Wizards Insider)
Evan Turner on why he should go No. 1 over John Wall: "Not to be arrogant or cocky, but I won every player of the year award."

Few more things from various media twitter accounts about DeMarcus Cousins...

-Cousins says hes in at 6'11-290(Jason Jones)
-Cousins had no comment in regards for playing for Calipari in the NBA(Jason Jones)
-Daniel Orton calls Cousins a "big child" and had to pull him away from a fight(Jonathon Givony)Not really a big deal but bigger deal that he says it in front of media at the NBA Combine.
-DeMarcus Cousins says he got "a really good vibe" from Minnesota today and that he thinks they would pick him if he were there at 4(Jonathon Givony)

Read this and tell me Cousins was "dominated" by Favors in their head to head match-up.

Because I'm willing to bet he doesn't.

And Keebler, he's listed at 6'9.5", and I'm willing to bet at the combine he's listed at something closer to that than closer to 6'11".

A lot of guys seem to lose some of their media guide heights when they go to the combine.

Never.

But I wasn't referring to his height with shoes, I was referring to his height, which was not 6'11". It was 6'9.5"

http://www.nbadraft.net/2010-nba-draft-combine-official-measurements

When you get measured at the doctors, is your height measured with or without shoes? Without.

Therefore, I was right, just like I thought I'd be.

The part where:

Favors: 39 pts 16 rebounds
Cousins: 21 pts 11 rebounds

That part.

Did you watch the game? I remember the game. There wasn't any domination. It was...Favors had to carry the team to stay in it.

Much like Brandon Knight had to do when he played a far better team and Austin Rivers.

Then again, I can see you just going off stats.

I've never played basketball barefoot. I don't think anyone has.

He's part of this group of basketball genius on this site that thinks they know what they're talking about based on box scores. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

I did watch the majority of the game, I missed the first 10 minutes of it.

I know that there's a reason Favors HAD to score more, but my point is that if Cousins should have been able to at least neutralize him a little bit instead of allowing 39 and 16, even though there were parts of the game Cousins didn't guard him.

Both will be NBA studs, IMO, but it's going to take Cousins longer because of his mental issues, because there's plenty of cases of big men not being effective at all until they corral their minds.

If you really fail to see the presence of the mental issues, then I can't help but think you're a homer.

And Dynasty, LOLLOLOLOLOL I know.

How can you say that about something that has no objective, sure-fire reasoning and make inferences about someone based off of it?

That's like me saying "The Phillies are going to win the World Series..if you dont see that, you are inept"

There is nothing that can prove that Cousins will be slowed by his mental issues, so azu's prediction is as good as yours.

It had more to do with the presence of mental issue, something AZU discounted earlier in the thread. I'll re-phrase my original post, because you're right.

Yea, I agree with that. No one knows at this point whether Cousins will have problems mentally. Is he more likely than Derrick Favors, yes, I think you have to admit that. But I think things were blown out of proportion last year at UK.

Per ESPN Insider:
Georgia Tech's Derrick Favors also got a boost from the measurements. He's a legit 6-foot-10, has a 7-2 wingspan and a 9-2 standing reach. Those numbers are actually very close to Dwight Howard and better than the Atlanta Hawks' Al Horford. If Favors projects as a center in the NBA, he too could get some strong consideration with the No. 2 pick.

"Favors doesn't have the offensive game that DeMarcus Cousins has," another GM told me. "But he's a better athlete, a better defender and when the two of them met head-to-head in high school, Favors kicked Cousins' butt. Had he got going earlier at Georgia Tech, he could've been, probably should've been, the No. 1 pick."
Just thought that was interesting after reading this thread.

Dat dude,

you have to realize that everyone on here is much smarter than ESPN, especially when ESPN cites GM's criticism and notes of a player.

God forbid I post an opinion that I shared after watching that game, the same opinion ESPN held, only to be told it was wrong by a UK homer.

You have to realize that ONE matchup in HIGH SCHOOL doesn't really mean shit.
