Got to do some flounder gigging for the first time ever a few weeks ago on a trip to NC. I am HOOKED! Can't wait to go again, if you've never been...I'd highly suggest taking a trip to the east and do it.

I had a great night last night fishing. My apartment complex has a lake right at my front door! 15 feet from my door to the water. I went outside last night, with a perfect 68 degree night and catfished from about 11pm til 3am. Had I been paying more attention, I may have caught more than 2, but the two I caught were nice channel cats, around 10 pounds each. Looking forward to going again later this week. That view is beautiful from the OP by the way!!

I was out at Seneca Lake this weekend for a bachelor party and we rented a boat and did some fishing on Saturday. Five guys fishing and not a single nibble all day. That's what I hate about fishing in a new place for the first time with no one to show you to good sports or to tell you what techniques work well. I can't wait to get up to Lake Erie later this month and do some real fishing.

IWP, ten bass is better than a day at work !

Benny, nice shot ! I always miss, I blame it on too much beer.

Wildcat24, don't forget your camera. I'd love to see Alaska fishing.

Fab1b, I cut the trout's head off !

Yeah but it's sort of cheating. Fishing in a very small lake/pond.

Although I have actually caught some walleye out at Berlin this year so...

My son and I have been out 2 times and caught 13 Crappie the first time all small.
The second trip we caught 24 large mouth. My son reeled in one 8 lb 3 oz. I almost knocked the little prick off the boat!

We have a running wager.
A buck for the fisrt fish.
A buck for the most fish.
A buck for the largest fish.

I'm up 4 bucks so far but would rather have the 8 pounder to brag about like he does.

Me and my brother have caught 7 or so walleye out of Berlin in the last week and a half. Off the dock that is much better than we usually do. Berlin has been good this year so far.

I went fishing, last Thursday maybe, at Hideaway Hills. was out there for a few hours. Between the two of us, we got nothing. Got two bites. We weren't happy at all.

good spec speed. i've never been on the salt water fishing (except snapper fishing way out off of TX), would've loved to get into it this year.

Salt water IMO is the best, especially from kayaks. I love fighting a big red from a kayak!
