Wow
I did not expect that at all. Doo Doo must have hit the fan.
Call Phil Jackson and offer him a boatload of money. Get him here now.

Since Phil's still coaching in the playoffs for another team, I doubt they could get him in Cleveland now.

This was step number one to Lebron staying.

Why would Phil Jackson leave the best player/winner in basketball to coach the second best player/best non-winner in basketball? And leave LA for Cleveland no less?

Woah, they didn't waste any time.

Lol, and now it is false according to some...craziness.

Figured it would happen this quickly.

They said Ferry will be retained. I'm not really sure I agree with that.

Kobe might be the best winner, but hes only the 3rd best player in the league at this point.

It's being called false by people inside the Cavs organization, because they have a presser at 2:30--doesn't mean it's false.

If Bucher is reporting it's false, I'll say it's true. I hate that guy for some reason. He's rarely ever right, but still they put him on.

Maybe all-around stat-wise, but I'll take Kobe's clutch play and determination to win any day of the week over Bron Bron. That, IMO, keeps Kobe at the top of the League. He may not have the assist and rebounding totals that James sometimes puts up, but Kobe is a better scorer, shooter, defender and "final minutes" player. Not to mention playoff performer.

They need a proven coach, regardless of LeBron or no LeBron. No more guys like Brown or Silas, etc.

Chris Broussard is saying that the press conference will not even be about the coaching situation...interesting.

SI broke the story, Bucher is saying the Cavs are denying it.

We shall see in about 20 minutes if they talk about it or not.

Good and valid points, but I dont think its fair to call Bron a poor playoff performer. Dude has been CLUTCH many times, just hasnt gotten the championship. He had a bad last 2 games, but he has had WAY more great playoff games (and yes, even clutch final minutes) than he hasnt.

But I cant argue Kobe as the best winner going right now.

Overall skill wise he is third on my list though.
1. Bron
2. Durant
3. Kobe

IMO, Bucher saying it's false is ESPN's way to cover the story that someone else broke and get the coverage of it but then have one of their sources say it's false just in case SI's source is wrong.
