I think he hit some girl. You can hear the teacher yelling at him towards the end "why'd you hit that girl? why a girl?"

Usually I say that there's two sides to every story. But no other side makes this right. I hope that bitch lost her job, and I hope the kid's family sues for so much money that he doesn't have to go to a piece of shit school like that anymore.

Teachers hitting students. Students laughing hysterically as it happens. No other teachers stepping in and putting a stop to it. That whole video is just sick.

Fock that teacher's job...if I was that kid's parent...she'd be in jail, or in a body bag

I don't give a damn if my son hit a girl. I'll handle him when he gets home. You put your hands on my kid? You're going to have to worry about a lot more than getting fired.

the kind that also had a criminal mischief warrant for a year, for slicing 4 tires with a knife.

and the school tried to cover it up !
Attorney Brant Stogner believes the school also tried to cover up what happened. He pointed out the campus has video cameras in every classroom.

"The school said, give us 2 hours. We'll rewind our tape and we'll see what happened on that Thursday. Two hours later, they call Alesha and they say come back to school, we'd like to resolve this issue. Alesha says did ya'll see what was on that tape. The school says we looked at it and we didn't see anything," Stogner said.

geez.... teachers are supposed to do something about bullying, and then when they do... they get fired.
Kidding... totally kidding.

No child deserves to take a beating like that. Not ever, for any reason. But that woman is NOT a teacher. She has a job teaching science for pennies on the dollar what a public school teacher makes. She is only required to have a high school education and knowledge of her subject area. She totally lost control. And perhaps has a history of totally losing control. You bet that as a parent, I would file charges against any one who beat a child that way.

Real, certified/licensed science teachers are difficult to find and good ones (ones who really have what it takes to motivate and copewith today's teens) are even more rare. By allowing charter schools to hire uneducated, uncertified teachers, the state of Texas is putting their children at risk. Is this how Charter schools are able to survive -- by putting unqualified people in classrooms?

That was most definitely overkill on the teacher's part and should be punished....however, until you've taught in a public school or anything like it, you WILL NOT understand. You just won't...until you've done it.

Lol, i don't think teaching in public school is a requirement for knowing that beating up kids is a bad thing in any and all situations.

-Expected response, and I agree mostly....and I guess I don't know how old the child is...but, in high school, you are not dealing with kids like this most of the time. A lot of time it's very easy for high school males to physically intimidate female teachers, and some male teachers. Plus, there are more MEN in high school than what you think. They are not children in the sense that you think of children. I'm just saying, that in some, NOT ALL cases, a beating is put to good use. But, teachers aren't allowed that much power anymore anyway...and thus, the teacher will lose her job, and if she's going this far, then, it's probably for the best.

No, teachers have no place to ever hit a student. At any level of schooling.

And the kid in the video looked like he was pretty damned young.

You can take the teacher out of the Ghetto, but you can't take the Ghetto out of the teacher. You get what you want, when you hire ghetto shit like this.
