in any city?

And yes, that is the first time I've used the word 'furrier' in my life.

My wife's grandmother recently passed away and her estate has a lot of mink and other fur coats (from the days when it was politically correct to wear fur coats) that the estate wants to sell. She's from New Orleans so there aren't any furriers there.

And I'll thank you not to joke about the word 'furrier'.

That's actually an option, just not an easy one. My wife's family pretty much lives in Dallas, San Antonio and New Orleans, and we're considered 'northerners" being in Virginia. My parents still live in Gallipolis and I wouldn't have a problem driving to Columbus or Cleveland when we visit them to take care of this, Chicago is probably too far out of the way.

Ah, sorry, didn't read your post fully, was assuming you wanted one in New York, given your name.

Thanks, I presume they do appraisals and buy. I don't how many coats are in the estate, I know the one she wore to our wedding is 'supposedly' $3,000+, not that she needed to wear a fur coat in Virginia.

If they are all "old school" furs and the like, i bet they will fetch quite a bit of $.

From what i've seen, seems like vintage furs are a fur lovers wet dream.

So it's that easy here? Just asking someone to not make fun of something really works?

Fuck that. LOL.

Think they do appraisals and buying. However with items like furs your best market / higher value selling price is larger cities like New York or Chicago.
My dealing with Lingerfelter as alway been professional, they have a long history in the fur business in the Canton/Akron Area.

Hey! if you should come to the area let me know we can maybe have lunch or go to the range. I away enjoy doing lunch with people who dislike me it even better at the range. :D

That place always seems like no ones there but they obviously do well enough to stay open.

Yeah...that's what I was thinking. Since I'm a really huge jerk, a polite request to not make fun of something really just ensures I will be doing just that.

So, here's my answer to this sexual question!

yeah, I'm in the proverbial rock between a hard place on this. I don't think the total value is worth the trip to NYC or Chicago, but on the other hand it is worth looking into the options. Between 4 children and 14 grandchildren (and their spouses), the individual pay out isn't much.

Yeah, between 1999 and 2006. Since then I'm a southerner. We have a guest house in Charlottesville, VA and we normally reside in the city of Richmond. And by in the city it IS IN THE CITY, we aren't suburbanites. Our neighborhood if fine, more than 7 or so blocks in any direction, it isn't fine.

Not me...I just did it because I flat out don't like the guy. He's pompous and might have a va-jj based on my past dealings w/him.
