If I had it, I wouldn't sweat a drop betting a billion that ND won't even make the title game.

I'd take the field at 100-1 before I took ND at 100-1

So you guys don't think a team with 100-1 odds has a remote chance for the title game?

After such a profound statement.....I think the obligatory "Mark it down" should've found it's way into your posts.

I'd say anyone below 25-1 odds really doesn't have a shot.

Whatever SEC team wins the SEC title game has the best odds in winning the title. At least its been that way for awhile.

Unless they have to play a hapless depleted Penn State.

LSU didn't win the SEC last year. So I don't really understand where Sleeper is going with that comment

maybe Penn St. would fare a little better in title games against the SEC, than what OSU did? At least it might be competitive.

There is a team missing from the list. Ranked top 5 in some pre-season polls, no worse than top 10 in others. Nebraska?

But Alabama does play Penn State in the regular season which is what I believe Sleeper is referring to.

Won't matter at the end of the season, if Boise and TCU are still undefeated by the last few weeks of the season, they bigwigs will get nervous and the human voting element will take care of them. One of them may crack the 2 spot at some point during the season if either Alabama or OSU loses, but you can bet by the end of the season, regardless of record, Boise and TCU will NOT be in the NC game. If it takes putting in a 1 loss team in front of an undefeated Boise team again, it will happen. Nothing in recent history suggests any different.

I really think you're wrong on this. If Boise State is one of only two undefeated teams at the end of the year, they will play for the National Title. There is no way they could not be voted in if they are undefeated with wins at Virginia Tech and against Oregon State. There's just no way that they could vote in a one-loss OSU or Texas team over an undefeated Boise at that point. And if they voted Boise in they would throw a parade for them to show how great and fair the BCS is.

And if Boise makes it the the National Title Game, as the son of parents who now live in Idaho, I'll be doing all I can to attend that game.
