Thanks to the NA staff for putting on a great tourney.
There was some awesome competition!
Thanks to the Monarchs for letting my son wrestle with you at the last minute.
Now knowing there was a 3 lb allowance he could have easily wrestled down a lower class, but we're trying to get some weight on him for football so cutting anything isn't an option.
He got 7 quality matches Sat! Mat time is what we're concerned with right now and he definitely got that.

Any other results?

I agree to a point. The team I came to support was young and did very well. Their goal is matches.
Now with that said....a weight allowance was given and in the past weigh ins were done on friday or Saturday morning. Let's keep common sense, as a coach you should have the integrity and character to not allow a kid wrestle ....say 130 that is weighing 150#'s. This happened.
Come on....I saw a 215 that had to be close to 230. Ok, so weigh in on Friday with 3# and no way your 230 on Saturday. I know of a couple teams that weighed in on friday and had kids weigh in at the 3# weight allowance. They in turn after weigh in went and ate a good meal.
I don't understand why there is people suggesting that nothing is wrong with how some of the teams approched the weight issue. Win within the rules. I am not complaining just making a point. Keep the focus.
Cofer does a heck of a job with the tournament and hope it continues. In no way am I saying anything negative on him or NA. Once again just pointing out the obvious.

The only concern I had is the lack of a skin check.

Maybe I'm missing the obvious but I don't see your son listed above. Did he wrestle for a different team? How did he do?

Everything that doesn't eat him first. As far as I know, he was really at 163, but bumped up to wrestle 174 most of the day.
