I can't speak about all the teams but Circleville is going to be WAY down this year. They lost a great coach in Kalinowski and it is really gonna hurt them. I wish he would have stayed on but he had to see the writing on the wall, they are gonna be bad for awhile. I know they are young but it is going to be a tough year on the Tigers. I think Logan Elm is going to be the favorite and rightfully so.

Fu has a chance to be really good. For the first time since mandy deal, they have a point guard .... A true point guard. Also they added a nice post player from fisher catholic, Erin Competti. Wyeth has the potential for a huge year. Last year she had to get her own shot. This year, her little sister can get her the ball and let her set up. I think shell have 5+ 30 point games. They scrimmage Lancaster tonight, then start the regular season on friday at Granville!!

I agree it's going to be a tough year for the CHS girls as they have to replace virtually everything from last year. Patience is going to be needed.

I look for Amanda-Clearcreek, Logan Elm, Fairfield Union and Teays Valley to be the top four in the league in no order. It's going to be an interesting season.

AC kicks off it regular season Friday, traveling to Marion Pleasant.
AC's non-league schedule is very tough this year.

AC beat Granville by 15 last Friday in a OHSAA Foundation game.

Good showing for the league, Circleville being the lone loss. Gonna be a solid league, my poor Tigers are in for a LONG season. They turned the ball over at least 30 times I think vs. MT. MT is a good team I will say. The JV squad only managed 8 points in a loss too. Scoring is gonna be tough this year.

bman, I only saw Fairfield in a scrimmage but they were impressive but had some dumb moments too just like all teams at this time, they have the one Freshman starting and her sister also is a key player, their names escape me at the moment though. I may check them out @ Circleville on Saturday but a lot of good football on that night and I honestly think Circleville is not going to give them much of a game this week.

Fairfield Union 42
Circleville 32

FU really didn't play that well if I am being honest, just good enough to get the win, neither team was real good shooting tonight for some reason. Certainly an improvement for the Tigers though as they looked really rough last week and looked much better. Interested in seeing the other scores of the night.

^ Nice to hear the Tigers making a stride.

Teays beat Carroll by two, Amanda beat Logan Elm by 10 - Ruble and Gretchen Meyer had big nights in the post for AC - and Canal hammered Hammy from what I heard.

i was wondering if canal was for real but a win like that seems to indicate they've made some big strides after going 0-14 in the league last year.

another big game on friday with amanda and fairfield playing.

LE 73
Circleville 29

Teays Valley 48
Hamilton Township 26

Canal Winchester 50
Bloom Carroll 48

Don't have a score on FU/Amanda yet, biggest game of the night. BC is coming really close in some of these games. Circleville took another step backwards tonight, bad effort by the Tigers, but it is going to be like that all season probably. LE played their best game of the year though, Circleville and HT are going to the bottom 2 for sure this year. Gonna be a good year though for the MSL as 6 of 8 teams are really tough.

Just an update, league has been holding form. Circleville is improving though I will say, still gonna be a long year. FU, Amanda, Bloom, Canal, LE and TV are all playing well and gonna continue to be an interesting season. LE did get beat pretty good by Unioto, but I was told by a few LE people that the refs were pretty shady at best and the game was a Unioto, could get a rematch though in districts. Keep up the solid play girls.

Logan Elm beat Teays Valley 58-53 in a makeup game to force a four-way tie atop the league with LE, TV, Fairfield and Canal all at 4-1. This is a big Tuesday as LE travels to Fairfield and TV goes to Canal. TV then hosts FU on Saturday and LE heads to Canal.

Where are all the haters who wanted Coach Twiss' head all those years?????

YEA INDIANS AND COACH TWISS!

It is so exciting to see the program that he has built! It is time to dominate the MSL!

^ Your over-the-top posts about Coach Twiss were the reason for the blow back.

Canal is having a nice season and is a good story like the Teays Valley girls. Should be an interesting league chase as I could see two or three teams sharing the title with three or even four losses. The top four teams in the league are pretty even.

TV is 10-1 and LE is 9-1 in league. Title should come down to these two as all other teams have lost at least four times in league. TV travels to LE on Tuesday night.

TV and LE both have to go to Fairfield still and LE still has a makeup with AC.
