In order to take two of three from the Cards, I like the chances better in today's Bailey/Lohse match-up compared to tomorrow's Harang/Carpenter one. Defense was great last night, but baserunning a problem. Hopefully Massett has turned the corner with the big inning ending double play last night.

I wasn't real sure how I felt with Phllips in the 2 hole. But it really seems like it is helping him. He has slowed down doing that ridiculous HR swing and he seems to be making more of an effort to go to the opposite field/get on base

Where did you want Phillips to bat?

It would be nice to begin seeing Reds players on the first page (top 40) of some important offensive categories for MLB.

Bruce has absolutely nothing to complain about on that inning ending called strike 3.

Way to protect Bruce!

About age 6-7 is when you typically learn that

Lohse is throwing his straightball and Bailey looks un-sharp....could be an 8-7 game

not sure Bailey has the control/stuff today to put an extra runner on base in the 1st inning

I feel as if he is a #5 or #6 hitter. He has never really get on base enough to be a great #2 guy (so Votto can knock him in) nor does he have great situational hitting skills. Just my $0.02

Lohse looks dirty today..we have no chance unless Homer can surprise.

Assumming Bailey can get this last out, hes pitched very well tonight.

No offense tonight..and that is an understatement..is killing our chances of winning 6 in a row.

1-0

This will be his last inning I'm guessing so we can get someone 2 hit for him.

Homer looks good, not his best stuff wise but the way he is battling it out today. 3-1 to lead off the 7th and gets a grounder.

On a side note the home plate ump has been great this game. Love seeing umps give pitchers the corners and actually being consistant.

Laynce Nix sucks. You have a young guy you just called up who needs to play. I have no clue why Dusty continues to think Nix can get it done in a starting lineup. The guy is a marginal pinch hitter at best

118 pitches and the FSN pitch speed says 95 for Homer.
