From the official rules:
(c) If a game is called, it is a regulation game:
(1) If five innings have been completed;
This one belongs to the Reds. (If they call the game)

Check out article 4.12......section 5......this game will be picked up where it is left off as the Reds scoring to take the lead in the top of the 6th make this one happen

It CANNOT be called to the Reds the way it is.....the home team has to have an equal number of at bats.....and they have not.

Had the Reds not scored in the 6th the CARDS could win if the game wasn't continued tonight.

I think they'll wait quite a while tonight to try to complete this game as they have a sold out game scheduled for 1pm central tomorrow, which of course has a whole different set of ticket holders. Do they want to restart this game at 11am and not be able to clear the park for the new paid attentance to get the game started before the deadline for it to start to be on TV and not compete with the Fox Saturday national game which has immunity from other games being telecast at the same time?

Bruce has kept it going tonight, he stays hot.

I have Pujols and Holliday on my fantasy team. I am kind of torn. I am still rooting for the Reds first and foremost, but I have to admit now that they have the lead, I'm not so upset about the hit Cueto surrendered to Holliday

The 2nd IBB of the night works out for Dusty, leading to an 8th inning ending 5-4-3 DP. An excellent defensive game. The two most excellent plays were the throws to 2nd to pick-off runners by Cueto and Hernandez.

And Johnny Gomes continues to show he will swing at anything that is white and round..............what an Adam Dunn wannabe.

I'd rather have had Heisey up there shakin' in his boots for his first Major League at-bat. Gomes looks like a moron out there.

Cordero lucky that hanging breaking ball stayed in the park for a two out double.

Great play by Rolen and Votto to end the game and avoid Pujols coming up again. Great game!

Wow......5 in a row for the Reds? Its likely to end tomorrow but all of a sudden we're only 3 games back of first place....I LOVE that Bruce is finally hitting, his average is up to .263. Pretty good considering he was under .200 a week ago. I hope our guys can keep it going. Maybe Homer was getting some sleep while the team was preserving that win? We're gonna need a good game from him tomorrow.

As many young hitters....bruce will be inconsistant but I belive will be a good hitter. One of the things that will help him is knowing he will have every day at bats....some guys get too strung on because they feel if they struggle a lil bit they are gone and not much of a chance.
Bruce will get every chance in the world and I think he will be a good overall hitter. He was on the Interstate and hovering round the Mendoza line but his hot streak has been impressive.

Win 2-3 over the Cards this weekend..and I think people will start believing. SP has started to come along

The Reds are better. There will be no miracles but I think it will be a good season and we can expect that the competitive level of the Reds, after several years of sub-par performances, will give us some hope for the future. The pitching seems to be coming together and we are getting some key hits. There will be rough spots but finally the Reds seem to be headed in the right direction.
