Trueblue, I disagree. I believe the "unwritten rule" is team achieving at least 50 wins.

Actually, on NOSF, I did think Durant was the most deserving. OKC went from 23 wins to 50. However, and I agree with Automatik, it basically came down to LBJ's assist numbers.

It didn't come down to assist numbers. It came down to you're a total fucking moron if you think Durant>LeBron. You're a Laker fan JG, you just played the Thunder--who are you more scared of? Durant or LeBron? Should be an easy choice.

Oh by the way, take it for what it's worth Gibby (wtf is Gibby anyways), but you're a jackass. You spout off things that aren't even true to try and support your argument. Like that Durant was more important to his team because the Thunder would have won 15 games without him. Stats disagree with you, considering LeBron led the league in Win Shares for the 2nd straight year.

I don't think Durant is > than LBJ. I just think 'more valuable' for this season. There lies the difference.

No, no, no.

Cavs fans went through this--and Laker fans disagreed because it favored Kobe. The MVP goes to the best player, not the most valuable (although IMO, LeBron is the most valuable as well), LeBron/Cavs fans learned that. You Kobe fans knew that when you tried to argue for Kobe. Now you're changing your tune?

Not to mention, I could write a post thats 2,000 words long on why LeBron is more valuable than Durant--here's a summary: take Durant off the Thunder and they might win 30 games. That's the difference, they got bounced in the 1st round WITH HIM. Take LeBron off the Cavs and you have a team that gets bounced in the 1st round like the Thunder, instead of a team playing for a championship--that's a WAYYYYYYYYY bigger difference than 50 wins to 30.

SQ, what happens in the Postseason is irrelevant. This is a regular season award, so your theory is moot.

I don't know what you are talking about in your 1st paragraph regarding Kobe. And, why do you think Nash won an MVP(2 in fact)?

I realize the postseason is irrelevant, but I'm saying, that is the difference in taking them off of their respective teams. No question who is more valuable.

SMH at that last part, I'm pretty sure you were around for the MVP discussion the last 2 years. I'm not even going to begin to explain how backwards Laker fans are if they're all on your side with this one, because their tune certainly will have changed.

Is that kinda like your "the scoring title goes to the best scorer" (when its Lebron James of course). But when he comes in second he is still the best scorer (somehow?).

Any argument that shows Lebron is the best, is a valid argument, and there's no doubt about it.
