Cars? Really? Because I recently finished putting a new engine into a Chevelle. When all was complete, with everything we added, it put another 500 pounds onto the car. It would blow the doors off a replica of what it was before. Gained weight, way faster. Why? POWER. I bet LeBron is twice as strong as he was in high school. So you're wrong, anything and everything with speed does NOT have to do with weight--Usain Bolt, 210 pounds. Tyson Gay, 165 pounds. Do I need to continue?
But like I said, this argument is pointless for me at this point. I'm talking in circles. You say he was faster in high school, therefore your argument is completely shot to hell. I witnessed him play in high school many times, I've witnessed him play in the pros many times and his speed is undoubtedly faster than it was in high school.
And no, you wouldn't necessarily have to add time to a hand timed 40--you could have to subtract time from what it really was. That goes both ways, I won't put any stock into that high school 40 time because it was hand timed. He may have been faster, he may have been slower--either way it was probably pretty close but if its not electronic then I'm not going to use it in my argument.
And like I've already told you, I'm 30 pounds heavier than I was in high school (4 years removed). I'm in worse shape, I don't work out on a regular basis and I'm considerably faster than I was in high school. If you don't think a guy who has trained as a PROFESSIONAL athlete, not to mention trained probably about as hard as anyone, for 6 years is faster then I don't know what to tell you.
sure if you add 100 HP and 500 lbs than it will be faster but if you take way weight than the car will go faster. A car that ways 2000 LBS with 200 HP is not faster than one that weighs 1500 lbs and 200 hp. Its not like you added 500 lbs of steel to the trunk in a effort to make the car go faster the extra power is clearly worth it. I just don't think it is fair for you to guarantee he is faster when he has not ran the 40 in years. Sure he looks crazy fast but guys in the NBA are not that fast in comparison to guys in the NFL.
