Are they going to pitch around Kepp and let Lincoln try to get Lee?

Nope, Herrera excellently gets a harmless grounder to SS to end the threat.

I think Dusty should leave Herrera in to face Lee and Berkman. The Bruce HR doubles the lead! Hopefully Hanigan hits one also to clear the bases to let Herrera bat for himself.

Bruce seems to be coming around a little. His average is still bad, but he's been making some strides.

I will echo the sentiments of Chris and Thom, Stubbs has played very well in replacing Dickerson early on.

Stubbs comes in due to injury and is the catalyst for the offense. Two hits and a walk, on base each time, three stolen bases(I'm counting stealing 3rd on LF Lee), and 2 runs scored. Rolen couldn't get him in in the 9th!

Hopefully Stubbs will do well in his more frequent playing time with Dickerson out.

Again it looks like Cordero doesn't have "it"!

But a pop-up and DP grounder, and this one belongs to the Reds!

Wow....we've been so down on this team and they just won 4 in a row. Lets face it guys....these players have been underachieving and frankly just playing sloppy baseball, and we're all alone in 2nd place heading into St. Louis. Yes it will be a different story though if we're still in 2nd come sunday night, but I for one am impressed with the baby steps this team has taken. 3 solid starts in a row from our rotation (4 if you want to count Bailey on sunday, which you could really lean either way on), some of our underachievers at the plate are coming around (Bruce, Stubbs), and we're just flat out seeing guys that we actually recognize from the late run last season. But St. Louis looms on the horizon. I guess the only good thing you can say about heading into St. Louis to face Penny, Lohse, and Carpenter is that we're not seeing Wainwright? Haha. If we can take 2 outta 3 from St. Louis I'd be ecstatic, as the red hot Mets are coming to town on Monday......

These next 6 games are tough. .500 would be a great way to come out of it. The strikeouts were down in the astros series and it made a huge difference. Hopefully they can continue that.
