Floyd Mayweather(40-0) vs Shane Mosley(46-5)
This is a fight I have been hoping to see for years. Unlike most Mayweather fights I think this will be an entertaining fight with good two way action.
Got a few friends coming over and I will be buying this fight.
This is the second big fight this year for boxing and fifth in the last 12 months. Regardless of who wins it will likely lead to another big fight with somebody in the fall. Somebody is awaiting the winner.......can't seem to recall his name right now.
From 2000 to 2006 the sport was only able to produce two big fights(Tyson/Lewis and De La Hoya/Hopkins) so it's good to see the promoters are doing a better job of putting together big fights these days.
When I say big fight I mean the fights that draw mainstream media attention and casual fans not the fights hard core fans get excited about.
The ppv buyrate for this will fight crush the ppv buys that other guy got for his fight in March.
This will be a better fight than that one was and the winner will fight the p4p king this fall.
There is more on the line for Mosley in this fight, if he loses it is probably his last big fight. That's not the case for Mayweather, he can afford a loss and still get more big fights.
Much has been made about Shane having hand-speed equal to Mayweather.
Floyd has seen that twice before, he did not have much of a handspeed advantage on Judah or Hatton.
I can't think of a Mosley opponent that Shane did not enjoy a handspeed advantage over...
Here is the undercard if anybody is interested in anything other than the main event(I'm not):

The undercard should give you a nice glimpse of who Mexicans are hoping to be the country's next star, in Saul Alvarez. He is only 19 and already has a ridiculous following. I haven't had a chance to see him live, so I'm actually looking forward to that fight too.
If you do tune in, don't be surprised either, here is what Saul looks like. Not exactly what you picture when you think of the future of Mexican boxing.

19-year-old Alvarez was actually one of the front-runners to fight Mayweather before Shane became available.
I've been wanting to see Alvarez too but for me the undercard didn't matter, I was buying it no matter how good or bad it would be.
I'm glad they didn't line up a bum for Alvarez. Jose isn't as good as his brother but he is no slouch.
Showtime has a downgraded super six on Shobox tomorrow.
All super-middleweights.
Donovan George(19-0-1) vs Asamanu Adama(14-1)
Marcus Johnson(18-0) vs Derek Edwards(25-0)
Edwin Rodriguez(14-0) vs Kevin Engel(17-2)
This Shobox is certain to be better than the last one which was shit.
Showtime usually has boxing on the first Saturday of the month but they were smart enough to pass on it this month.

Mayweather is treating the other guy like Pittsburgh treats the Browns.
