The negotiations are a mute point until Mayweather softens his stance on blood testing the day of the fight.

That will always be the sticking point.

Mosley gave up after that monster hit on Mayweather in the 2nd that buckled Mayweather's knees. Mosley just stood there and looked at him waiting for him to go down and when he didn't, all the air went out of Mosley.

I wondered how Shane would react to an opponent that he didn't have a hand-speed advantage over. He's never seen that before.
Like I said in my first post on this thread Floyd has been there twice first with Judah, then with Hatton, he was the not the one who was going to be surprised.
Shane did seem discouraged when Floyd was still there after eating two huge shots like that, seemed like he came to KO Floyd not outbox him.
That guy rarely wins the big fights.

As for Pac/Floyd I do not and never did believe any drug-testing bullshit was the reason for the negotiations "falling through" the first time.
If they fought on the original date, the promoters had ONE big fight.
Now they've made big money off two big fights and they get to build up a third while they waiting for Pac to lose an election again.

There was article on boxingscene the other day where Roach was talking about backing off there stance on extra testing.
Surprise, surprise.............

I hope Pac/Floyd happens in Texas not Vegas. They might get 100,000+ attendance for the fight.

Watched this fight and for all of Mayweather's skill he dissapointed but not taking Mosley out, he had a couple chances to do so. Agree about Mosely letting up when he had Mayweather hurt early, definite turning point in the fight.

Estimates for a Manny/Mayweather Fight in Dallas are around 95,000

Paq drew 75,000 for his last fight that was there.

The Pacquaio-Clottey fight was just shy of 51,000 fans.


In regards to Mayweather-Mosley, I had it 118-110 on my card. Mayweather Jr. dominated all but two rounds and there is no reason why Mayweather-Pacquiao should not happen.

that 51k was also at about half the cost per ticket that mayweather/pac would charge, so basically 4x more money when/if they fight in ticket sales. it's just too big not to happen, and if pac refuses again he may never get a huge fight, he will still have big fights but fans won't pay for his ppv's if he refuses testing again.

You're delusional if you think Pac needs Mayweather to get more big fights, regardless of whether or not he turns him down again.

He drew 51,000 and sold 700,000 ppv's with a piss-poor undercard and a no-name opponent.
Manny is a superstar who doesn't need a big name in the other corner to sell tickets and ppv.

Fight fans don't give a shit about any rumors of drug use or even actual proof of PED's(of which there is none on Manny)
Mosley's past certainly didn't keep him from getting more fights, Fernando Vargas, James Toney and Julio Ceasar Chavez jr didn't lose any popularity after popping positive for steroids.
