From the comedic section of the Reds PR department, Dusty Baker has asked Reds front office for a contract extension. Front office is not ready to make a decision at the time LOL

Are there two shortstops and no third basemen:huh: Just kidding. I know you meant to type 5 next to Rolen. Thanks for the lineup.

I truly think Rolen is the best #4 hitter the Reds have. Just need a leadoff hitter in the worst kind of way.

Hanigan gets a big 2 RBI hit with one out and the bases loaded to put the Reds up 2-1. Then Harang has a " do anything but hit into a double play" at bat resulting in a K, then Stubbs does get contact, but not an RBI, just the 3rd out in the 2nd. We'll see if Harang can get anything done to hold the lead.

With Harang on the mound, its almost a bad thing to only get 2 runs with bases loaded 0 outs...

Harang uses way too many pitches to get through what should have been an easy 2nd. Then BP gets on to lead off the 3rd and gives away the good opportunity being picked off due to inattention.

Harang looks good so far, the run wasn't his fault and he just got a big K on Berkman to end the inning.

Thanks. The Reds have so many broadcasters and they had to make the call-up to Louisville? Haha

I like almost everything I'm seeing out of Harang tonight except his pitch count. Lets see if he can keep up throwing first pitch strikes, which is a first this year.

With Grande retiring at the end of last year, I had a feeling Kelch would get the full time gig. He is terrible IMO.

I would rather the Reds pull Thom Brenamen from the FOX team and let him be the full time guy, but it's probably not happening. We also had Paul Keels in last week.

They hired Paul Keels to do some games this year.

They have Keels, Chris Welsh, Thom Brennamen, and The Cowboy Jeff Brantley. I wouldn't think there is much more room for another

Yes, he's using way too many pitches to the bottom third of the Astros order - not going after them.

The run the Reds gave up in the first was earned and three of the four bases he advanced, including getting to first base, was Harang's fault. He would have scored anyway on the single after if there hadn't been the throwing error by Hanigan, which was actually caused by trying to make up time on the jump Harang gave Bourn.

The Reds are going to lose because of their failure to take advantage of getting the lead-off batter on several times after they took a 2-1 lead. In the fourth, Phillips started the downfall of the inning after the first two reached, by mis-using his "clean-up hitter mentality".

Harang has already used 89 pitches in just 5 innings, and that is with Hanigan throwing out two runners trying to steal.

The saving grace for the Reds may be that the Astros pitcher is pitching like he's a Red's pitcher.

How about that! Stubbs doesn't strike out, but gets a run in with a fly ball. 5-1 score.
