The Indians will have their work cut out for them facing Jered Weaver ( 2-0 2.77 ERA).

The Tribe will counter with David Huff (1-2 3.00 ERA)

Let's go Tribe! Time to wake up bats.

Pedro Cerrano: Bats, they are sick. I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid. I ask Jobu to come, take fear from bats. I offer him cigar, rum. He will come.
Eddie Harris: You know you might think about taking Jesus Christ as your savior instead of fooling around with all this stuff.
Roger Dorn: Shit, Harris.
Pedro Cerrano: Jesus, I like him very much, but he no help with curveball.
Eddie Harris: You trying to say Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?

Dont pitch to Kendry Morales.

Also, why does it seem we always get Weaver early in the year when he is Cy Young and never late in the year when he pitches like ass?

not a good start when the first batter hits a HR followed by a single and a double.....

Another lack-luster effort by the batters. At least today they got runners on (left a man on base every inning but the first):D:D

5-2 final.. Cleveland has scored 8 runs in it's last 4 games.. Thanks to a 6 run outburst two games ago..

Game had 24 hits and 11 walks...plus an error or 2. 37 baserunners and 7 total runs.

Hafner and Sizemore dip below the Mendoza line.

I defended Sizemore last season, only because of his injury.. This season though? I mean, I guess this could be the "Rust" from the surgery, but he's an elite talent playing like an average joe offensively.

Any word on if this guy is still with Brittany Binger? If so, it may be time to let her go to focus on the career :)

Hafner, I think we all knew he was done after his fluke year and weak psyche.

Oops...my bad...what was I thinking? Sizemore is above the Mendoza line.

Sizemore 203
Hafner 197
Peralta 175
Velbuena 170
Redman 231
Grudzeilanek 200
Marson 088.

Make some room in Cooperstown.

I'm willing to give Valbuena a pass because offensively, he's not ML ready. He shows flashes every now and then and he has an xbh swing, but he's not ready yet and was rushed up, imo.. Defensively, he's ready.

This offense keeps showing that so many have them overrated.

West Coast trips in any professional sport are the work of the devil. I've said for years that unbelievable
things happen to otherwise pretty good teams when they cross the California border.

ditto-I am glad I did not have any expectations and I got used to not watching baseball last summer. I just can't seem to get into it with the way the tribe has been going the last 2 summers and now again this summer. Fan for life has taken on a new meaning for me.

Do you guys think Hafner laughs like Jack Nicholson's version of Joker or Heath Ledger's version of Joker each time he picks up his ridiculous paycheck?

Err, steroid-infused year. Seriously, for 3 or so seasons, dude went more Brady Anderson than anybody since . . . well, Brady Anderson.

What a chump.

Lets not act like Hafner only had 1 good year. He was a STUD for 3 years and his 4th he was pretty damn solid...bad average, but 100 RBI.

This is a great post. Hafner was killer for 3 or 4 years. To me...it has to be juice withdrawal.

People will argue that juice doesn't help you with coordination. Well, juice improves bat speed and definitely improves self confidence. Sammy Sosa is not the only one that showed serious juice withdrawal.

I remember when I posted that I thought Pronk was on the juice and almost to a poster I crap for it.
