Anyone who isn't at least a little embarrassed at some of their conduct should probably be removed from the gene pool.

It is unAmerican. Cheering a foreign leader in our house of government who is criticizing one of our own. He should have been booed off the floor. I liken this to a guest in my house standing up at the dinner table and calling out one of my children. Whether I agreed with him or not, my natural inclination would be to defend the structure of my family. If someone outside of my family has a problem with one of my child's actions they bring it to me personally. If I concur with their assessment I will deal with it within the structure of my family. I sure as hell would not stand up and applaud using my house to call out members of my family. WTF.

What makes this even more despicable is the words roll off the mouth of a blatant hypocrite. Their government employs far more stringent laws on its immigrants. For those of you gringos with big enough balls to take a stroll though the Mexican countryside good luck. You will be stopped . You will be asked for your papers. And you may end up dead if you don't cough up something of value.

I would like to see one of those congressman cheering, take a stroll through Juarez in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, without their security detail. I would like to see Obama head down to Mexico City and address the Mexican legislature about the safety concerns of Americans visiting Mexico. I wonder how many cheers he would get. I would like to see him call out the Mexican state of Chihuahua for their failure to protect the lives and rights of our citizens brave enough to set foot in that God forsaken state.

My fiancee and i were in Mexico City a couple months ago visiting a friend who works at the U.S. Embassy there.

Keep in mind, she lived in Moscow for a year back in 2005.

We, by far, were hassled more, inconvenienced more, and felt more "scared" than she ever did in her year in Moscow, and i ever did when i was there to visit her. No bribes were given, but there were some tense moments with the Mexican police.

Granted, Mexico City was on my list of places to visit before i die, so it was nice to get that out of the way, as it was definitely one of the most interesting cities i've ever visited.

Mexico has worse laws on the books than what Arizona just passed. You outta try and sneak into Mexico from south of their border and see what happens to you!! You can't get a job, you are arrested and thrown away for good, or at the easiest, DEPORTED BACK to where you came from.

So what am I missing here??? Mexico can deport, Calderon can call our laws misguided in a state dinner and receive standing O's from the libs, yet we pass a law making it illegal to be here illegally and we're the bad guys???

Well, let's take a look at this.

John Morton, assistant secretary of homeland security for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, made the comment during a meeting on Wednesday with the editorial board of the Chicago Tribune, the newspaper reports.
"I don't think the Arizona law, or laws like it, are the solution," Morton told the newspaper.

Again, illegal immigrants are not privy to civil rights. Civil rights pertain to American citizens.

Meanwhile, DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano said ICE is not obligated to process illegal immigrants referred to them by Arizona authorities.
"ICE has the legal discretion to accept or not to accept persons delivered to it by non-federal personnel," Napolitano said. "It also has the discretion to deport or not to deport persons delivered to it by any government agents, even its own."

Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-AL, said it appeared the Obama administration is "nullifying existing law" and suggested Morton may not be the right person for his post if he fails to enforce federal immigration law.

The illegals have walked over 25 miles into our country when they get to this spot. At this spot they can see the lights of Ammado, and they know they are within a few hours of getting picked up by the load vehicle which will take them anywhere in the country. When they come they carry backpacks with clean clothes and food in them; when they get to this layup spot, they can change out of their dirty clothes and into clean clothes so that they will blend in better once they get into town. They will cram as many as 20 people into the cab of a pickup truck or 30 people into a van or SUV, so there is no room for any backpacks or extra clothing.

As a result, the monument's wilderness is laced with hundreds of miles of unofficial roads and trails. These routes are usually lined with empty water jugs and other discarded items.

All this has to be cleaned up constantly and is costly to the taxpayers.

I disagree with this statement. The Declaration clearly says "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." It doesn't say American citizens are created equal with certain unalienable rights, it says all men(and women, for the feminists ). Everyone deserves these unalienable rights, regardless of where they are from. That's why terrorists should be given due process and not whisked away to Gitmo as "enemy combatants".

If we're going to be absolutely literal in the interpretation, then women don't have any rights at all. Black people should still be slaves, etc. It was a document written for Americans, not everyone else in the world to come here and use up our resources while breaking federal law.
